He was given Ventolin during his hospital stay, though the doctors cautioned us that using it too frequently isn't exactly the best long-term strategy—so we're currently trying out this new suspension syrup. I’m honestly not sure if it’s actually doing the trick yet, but we'll just have to wait and see! Regardless, I would much prefer having an inhaler on hand—which is why I am currently hunting for some alternatives to the nebulizer mask.
He’s dealing with a runny nose and a mild cough—nothing too crazy, but since he was actually hospitalized for bronchiolitis when he was just two months old, we’re being extra cautious. Our pediatrician already recommended keeping up with nebulizer treatments to stay ahead of it.
My little one is a year old now, and we’ve hit a total roadblock—they absolutely refuse to use the nebulizer mask. I was wondering, would using an air purifier combined with adding some plantain syrup drops to the air be an effective substitute?
Thanks to everyone for the input.
