Man, I've heard all sorts of things about him, and honestly, it's a little intimidating. But then again, nobody's perfect, right? Everyone’s got their baggage, unfortunately; I just really don't want to be his next cautionary tale, and that's the only thing bugging me. 🙄
Hehe, what have you heard? I haven't heard anything bad about him myself.
The surgery was $3667, and for lodging, I think it's about $50 a night, though I actually stayed in a private rental. 🙂

Hey everyone, just thought I’d check in and give you an update :-).
I went under the knife with Dr. Tončić to fix my nose, which used to have this nasty bump on it (I got a deformity from a fall when I was a kid that really messed up my profile).
So, let me give you the lowdown on how it all went down.
Here’s the deal:
I went in for a consultation the day before surgery and sat down with Mr. Tončić. He walked me through the whole procedure—explained exactly what could be done and gave me a realistic idea of what to expect. It was a super chill conversation, and my mom came along for the ride too (even though I'm an adult, she’s basically my emotional support system😁—and just a heads-up for anyone else wondering, since I saw someone earlier asking if minors can get surgery without parental consent: the answer is NO. Parents have to sign off because they're legally responsible for you, since minors aren't considered fully independent yet.
Anyway, enough rambling...
The next day—D-day—time for surgery...🙂 ..I was freaking out, honestly...
They put me under and I didn't feel a thing, everything went smoothly. The only issue was that I got my period right then, so I felt pretty nauseous and actually blacked out two or three times because I tend to pass out easily. I didn't have any major bleeding or anything; there was just a little swelling here and there, but nothing crazy.
Regarding the packing and breathing—man, I couldn't sleep! I'm one of those people who can't sleep on my back (I have to roll over :P), and since I couldn't breathe through my nose, it was pretty rough—but you just gotta suck it up and power through those first three days.
When the nurse took the packing out, it didn't hurt at all. Seriously, that part isn't painful.
The actual procedure doesn't hurt; it's just the nose itself that aches afterward—but it's that "good" kind of pain, you know? Like that soreness you feel when something is healing. Also, my nose was itching like crazy, haha. But all in all, it was great. Having my family there meant the world, and even they can see the difference—even my grandma, haha—and she says it looks AMAZING.
The entire surgical team, the nurses, and the staff were all right there with me; everyone was so kind and approachable. By the way, their clinic has rooms where you can stay if you don't have a place to crash nearby.
So, fast forward to now: I finally had the cast removed at my follow-up appointment, and my nose looks brand new. I seriously can't believe it. He straightened that bump right out, which actually made my nose look smaller, too.
I am beyond happy, and I can honestly say I'd go through the whole thing all over again just for this result.
Basically, Dr. Tončić is a top-tier surgeon. His clinic is packed every single day, even with patients flying in from out of state...
I saw on his website that he’s worked on celebrities like Danijela Dvornik, Nina Badrić, and Alka Vujica. This guy has been doing this for 25 years (they actually just celebrated the 25th anniversary of the clinic opening), and he’s even done work for famous models—like that blonde lady from the lottery commercials who says, "You play too!"... plus some other big names I don't recognize.
Long story short, he has a stellar reputation, and it's definitely worth going in to chat with them.
I felt so comfortable, which is huge for me. They truly looked out for me. Even though people think doctors only care about money and prestige, these guys were absolutely fantastic.
My recommendation is Dr. Tončić because I experienced firsthand that he is genuinely experienced, professional, and kind. He didn't try to push anything on me; he just told me what other surgeons might do versus what he thought would actually look good for me. I loved that he was straight with me, no sugarcoating, so I knew exactly what I was signing up for. And that's exactly what happened.
My nose is straight and small. Perfect. Exactly what I wanted.
I actually considered going to Dr. Zambellia, Ostojić, or even Bagatin, but when I emailed them for info, their responses were a total disaster. Dr. Tončić was the only one who actually took the time to send a proper, helpful reply, which gave me hope that he was the one to save my look—and he did. You have to do your homework on everyone. If you don't like a surgeon's vibe, don't go to them; find someone else. And yeah, I heard a lot of bad things about Glumičić, so I steered clear of him. I never heard a single bad thing about Dr. Tončić, which made choosing him a lot easier.

ps: I actually found out one of my mom's coworkers went to him specifically to get her nose fixed, and he did an incredible job, so yeah, just another success story for the books :-D

* I had my bloodwork done at a local clinic (forgot to mention that)
* My doctor warned me that some surgeons mess up by removing way too much cartilage, which leaves the nose without enough support to hold its shape, so definitely watch out for that (think Michael Jackson vibes)
* Make sure you eat something light in the morning before the surgery
* Just have patience and keep the faith and hope alive
* AND BE HONEST ABOUT WHAT YOUR ACTUAL COMPLEX IS

Has anyone here dealt with the Bagatin clinic in Chicago, and what was your experience like? I’ve finally decided to pull the trigger on rhinoplasty; I’ve got this bump on my nose that just absolutely wrecks my confidence.
The Bagatin clinic caught my eye because they show these 3D animations of what you look like now versus how your nose will look after the procedure. It felt pretty cool and high-tech. Honestly, the cost isn't the main issue—I can scrape the money together if I have to—it's more about making sure everything goes smoothly without any nasty complications. I want to know that the results are actually going to be what I'm hoping for. I mean, obviously, we have to be realistic and not expect total perfection, but hey, we're paying good money for this, right? I really hope everyone here who's planning surgery has a smooth recovery and gets exactly what they're looking for.🙂I’m pretty terrified of nose surgery, but I'd love to get it over with before I head off to college in October, haha.

P.S. This bump actually happened because I fell on my face when I was a kid. I was thinking maybe I could go to my primary care doctor and tell her it's taking a toll on my mental health—you know, dealing with low self-esteem or depression—and see if she could write me a referral... I'm not sure if there's any way to get the surgery covered by Medicare or at least get a discount. I think I saw someone mentioning something like that on a forum once.

I’m seriously looking into getting a rhinoplasty because I’ve been dealing with some major insecurities since I was a kid—I took a nasty fall right on my face back then, and ever since, there’s been this bump right in the middle of my nose.
Back when I was little, I was such a happy, bubbly, high-energy kid, always running around and just enjoying life. But now? It feels like the complete opposite. I’ve become way more withdrawn, and honestly, I just don't have that confidence I used to have, whether it's in my dating life or just talking to people in everyday situations. I’m planning on heading off to college soon since I just graduated, and I’d really love to get this procedure done within the next ten months before my freshman year kicks off—we'll see how things go 🙂
Does anyone have any recent recommendations? 🙂 I feel like I’ve spent forever scrolling through forums, but nothing is really jumping out at me. I just want to be absolutely certain that the bump will be smoothed out and that I’ll finally feel "perfect"—or at least, perfect enough for myself.
