Look, this is just my primary rhinoplasty. I’m intentionally saving up right now because when it comes time for the revision surgery, I’m going to Zambell and absolutely nobody else.
I received an incredible recommendation for him, so my mind is made up.

Well, looking at the comments here, it seems like most of you had more or less positive experiences, but my situation has been an absolute disaster...

I was dealing with a massive septal deviation and a significant hump. My surgeon at the Mayo Clinic told me he’d fix the hump at the same time, and I thought, "Great, let's do this." He went in and basically restructured the entire nasal pyramid...
But the second they took the splints off, things went south. I ended up with a huge saddle nose deformity, and the deviation is still there—I still can't breathe properly through my right nostril or even anywhere else...
I’m actually terrified of being caught in a photo straight-on because it looks like someone took a scraper to the middle of my face...

Now I'm stuck trying to scrape together $2,000 for a corrective procedure with a real professional. I already have a recommendation lined up and everything; I just need the cash... :-)

So, here we go again... I'm officially getting ready for nose surgery... for the second time...

The first time around, I had this prominent hump and it was pretty large, plus a major deviation to one side. I decided to head over to the Mayo Clinic, where the doctor promised he’d fix everything up. I even specifically asked if he could smooth out that hump, and he was like, "Sure thing, sounds good." Well, fast forward to now, and he basically left me with a brutal saddle nose right in the middle. My nose still drifts to the side, too. It might not look incredibly obvious when you're looking at me in person, but once you snap a photo from the front? Man... it looks like someone took a chisel to my face. Honestly, part of me just wants to march back down to that clinic and start a protest...

Anyway, now I'm back on the hunt for a new surgeon :-D Looking at my options now... it really can't get any worse than this! :-)

Maybe check if the URL has "Orbis" in it? I’ve been running into the exact same issue lately... though it seems to only happen when I'm hitting the Orbis server specifically.

It’s a strange one—I can browse through any thread on that specific server without an issue, but the second I try to log in, it kicks me right back out. It feels like a glitchy cookie or some kind of session error is tripping things up, because everything works perfectly fine over on the main forum.com domain. :-)

I went through the exact same thing. At first, I just brushed it off, thinking, "Eh, this is just how it is for everyone," but man, was I wrong. I’m pretty active in sports, and when you’re really winded, you need to be able to take those deep, calming breaths to settle your system down—but I simply couldn't catch enough air to actually do it. We'll see how things go from here, though. :-) The toughest part is that I feel like I've been catching every little cold lately; I felt like I was right on the edge of catching the flu, but I managed to nip that in the bud immediately, haha.

That’s exactly what I thought too, but... turns out I was wrong :-) Now, I can get him to lose weight without any issues at all...

And honestly, those "intense massages" people talk about? They're nothing but pure nonsense...

It’s honestly not an exaggeration when surgeons claim that rhinoplasty is one of the most demanding plastic surgeries out there... because with this kind of work, every single millimeter is visible.

Yeah, honestly, things change every single day—my nose, my breathing, everything... For me, it’s been 15 days since the surgery and I already feel amazing. It feels a little bit bumpy right now because it looks like the tip hasn't quite settled down yet, and there’s still quite a bit of swelling on the sides, too. But you can already clearly see that almost half of the old nose is gone, haha! I’ll definitely post some pictures once she takes them during my follow-up appointment on January 20th.
I truly believe the difference is going to be massive, haha :-D

You’ve got a point there... it isn't exactly ethical, but well...
I just wanted to say that pretty much everyone deals with at least a tiny little deviation from the norm...

You can always tell them that breathing through your nose feels impossible, that it’s seriously bothering you, and just let them deal with the mess... you just can't give up on pursuing it, period. A real doctor will spot a deviated septum instantly, even if it's just a tiny 1mm shift to one side. It's worth a shot just to see where things land...

So, I’m currently at day 10 post-op. I took the foils off and removed the splint three days ago... my nose looks better every single day. It’s straight, though there's still quite a bit of swelling. What’s tripping me up a little is that it doesn't look perfectly flat yet—the hump is gone, but now there's this slight indentation instead. Well, the tip and the area near the bone are still swollen, so I'm not sweating it too much... it's obvious that things improve with every passing day... but man, it's definitely not easy going through this again, haha.

Look, if you're really so unattractive that you can't even handle sitting there for an hour and a half just in your underwear (and yeah, I mean underwear, not completely nude), then you don't actually need nose surgery in the first place...

Well, I'm on day five now and I can already breathe through my nose, even if things still feel a bit congested inside. I've been using those nasal drops, haha, but the dry throat at night is still hitting me hard... it hurts enough to wake me up, and even after grabbing a little water, it doesn't really help much, you know?

Well, I figured it was finally time for me to share my own firsthand experience...

So, this past Tuesday, I went in for nose surgery at Dubrava Basketball Club under the care of Dr. Carić. Honestly, the guy is a total pro. I was really impressed—he’s young, clearly knows his stuff inside and out, and he actually seems to care about his patients. He did his plastic surgery specialization over in Germany and is planning to open his own private practice soon... but enough with the praise, haha! :-D

The main issue was a deviated septum; the deviation was pretty severe, so while we were at it, he decided to slim down the overall shape of my nose too. I actually suggested we touch up the aesthetics, so we worked out a plan for exactly what he should do... he had to reset the nasal bone in a few spots during the procedure and all that.

Everything was done under general anesthesia. The five nurses there were incredibly kind. I felt pretty terrible right after waking up from the anesthesia—just for a day or two. There was some bleeding; it was just a constant little trickle from my nose, but nothing major. Yesterday morning (Friday), they removed the nasal packing, which wasn't too bad either—just a strange sensation and a quick flash of pain that lasts maybe ten seconds, and then it's gone. Right now, I'm still wearing a small splint on my nose, but you can already tell it’s going to look good :-D or at least I hope so, haha. I'm getting the splint off this Wednesday... The bruising is minimal; I just have a little yellowish discoloration around my eyes, and that’s about it.
I don't regret choosing this place at all. Truly, nothing but high marks... especially for Dr. Carić.
