Lump under the skin

But what if I just don't want to get it checked out? I have something similar on my neck, though the little bump is a bit smaller... I think it popped up when I had a cold maybe two or three months ago, but it hasn't gone away. It’s not like it's actually bothering me, but if it could turn into something serious, maybe it would be better to just have it removed.....
