So... I'm having thyroid surgery soon (they're removing the right lobe). Since I won't actually meet my anesthesiologist until 6 days before the procedure, I guess I'm wondering if there are specific rules I should follow regarding smoking, alcohol, or supplements? I know about stopping anticoagulants and aspirin 10 days out, and obviously nothing to eat or smoke on the day of.
I'm 22 and generally healthy, aside from the hyperthyroidism issues that require medication.
