Hey Cleveland folks, I was just wondering if business has slowed down at that cafe in downtown Cleveland you guys were all talking about a few years back when they were looking for a new KN, especially since the former manager went ahead and opened his own spot there??😁
I mean, ever since those smoking bans kicked in and all that...

Carol Wright9 said:In Germany, Poland, or Greece, the laws are brutal, and I suppose this one is just as harsh; the groups are alive, they are solid, and they function. We need to adapt and be smarter—to realize that the behaviors from the 90s are ancient history and that we’re moving into a new era. We will adapt and we won't disappear. People complained the exact same way when that first law was passed and we were caught off guard because nobody knew what was coming, but the situation right now is fundamentally different; everyone on the inside knows exactly how things work. We’ll try to tear this down, and we might actually succeed, but even if we do, it’ll likely take four to six years since waiting on lawsuits in the Supreme Court or Strasbourg is an agonizing process. In the meantime, there will be protests and attempts to sensitize a public that possesses the collective intellect of an average sheep. In a way, I feel a sense of relief that it's finally over; I know what's ahead and how to act. Groups absolutely must have legal counsel ready to fight against precautionary measures and other nonsense when people are arrested—that should be a priority, even if it's difficult for smaller groups to manage. Just keep your wits about you and stay sharp; there will be victims, but that is always the way of things. As the old saying goes, no surrender.

That's the bottom line👍

Anonymous said:The proposal is solid. But honestly, there are only a handful of us working on this, and we're all slammed. We haven't had the bandwidth to hit every single contact point yet. We just finished meetings with the Government and the police, and from here on out, we’ll be knocking on every door possible—from the Ombudsman to the Children's Ombudsman, plus various civil rights groups. Anyone who might be able to tip the scales.

We’ll likely take this up to Strasbourg as well.

What we need right now is unity and total commitment to fighting this fan legislation. If this passes, it’s the death of the supporter culture. Stadiums will either be completely empty or they'll look like a deserted Snow Queen race on Mount Rainier.

Man, what "death" are you even rambling about?☕ If this law actually passes through Congress, it won't even be that different from what we already have... I mean, we're still breathing... anyone who's actually smart isn't going to get screwed one way or another... besides, the American fan scene died out a long, long time ago anyway...

If they won't even listen to the completely reasonable suggestions we're making, then we need to take to the streets with mass protests. We can all agree on that, but talking about it is one thing and actually doing it is another...

There's no "adapting" here. If they get their way, it's game over for fans in America. And I'm worried about the sport itself, because right now, the ultras are pretty much the only ones showing up to the stadiums...

I know they're working on the law, but man, you can tell by the new proposal just how little they've actually listened to any of us... and unfortunately, all that "trouble" in the stands just gave them the perfect excuse to come up with this super strict version. I was just watching a clip of those fans from the Zagora area taking the train down to Washington, D.C., and they were absolutely loaded with alcohol... we really need to bring that up during the talks... clearly some people are being treated more unfairly than others... look, fans aren't gonna die if a law like this passes, the smart ones will just find a way to deal with it, and honestly, nobody gives a damn about the actors, the posers, or the wannabe hooligans anyway...

I’m totally against any kind of boycott... I wasn't out here boycotting Los Angeles FC during those absolute worst years under Grgić's leadership, so I'm definitely not starting now... but man, if all the different groups could actually get on the same page and pull off some massive protest (kind of like what happened back in Stalingrad), then we might actually have some leverage... though knowing how much drama there usually is within our local supporter groups, I’m not holding my breath... I guess we just have to roll with the punches

Alright, fine, I won't if you're gonna beg me like that🤣....but look, I was there, and it really just boils down to the fact that everyone basically split up and ran in their own cities, and then two or three guys who didn't make it out in time ended up getting run over... those were just wild years where every single crew had their ups and downs, our hideouts were always a major plus for us, but crashing onto your turf was just how things went down... so yeah, we can move on from this...

Andrew White32 said:Man, that whole cave incident definitely wasn't 98% certain when it actually went down, you know? Like what you said, my memory's a bit fuzzy on the specifics...🤷 I've heard like 16 different versions of that story myself, so honestly, I'm not even gonna get into it right now... 🤷

It seriously blows my mind how many different versions there are☕ because everything seemed so crystal clear at the time... about 20 of our guys totally miscalculated things... I'll never forget that scene where a few of our crew started jumping off the train before it even came to a full stop... if you really want, I can post the whole story a bit later, and I'll try to be as objective as possible since I was right there as a witness to all of it... those were the good old days, you know, back when there wasn't any heavy-handed pressure and you could just talk to a guy man-to-man...

The guys actually brought tents along before the game started, and the big idea was to head out east, pitch everything, and get a little campfire going before heading over to meet everyone... but since the tents and wood were basically gone right at the entrance, our whole hangout session ended up being a pathetic two minutes tops.. and hey, I won't start drifting away from the topic again 🤣

Alright, alright, I'll stop veering off track, I finally got the answer I was looking for anyway😁
Man, just like those good old days...

but this part right here is what really cracks me up, because he goes:

so you're saying there were just random rushes, like on the East Coast out of a few hundred people there were maybe only like 10 hardcore fans (which is probably what he means by "random") and what were the rest of them doing, just attending some "_how to be a superfan" seminar and watching those few guys to learn how it's done? I mean, you've got a point man, back then it was basically the norm to have a few hundred fans storming the field every other game, so yeah, plenty of stuff happened back in the day😂

I was actually at that game myself, and it's totally true that you guys made it over to our section and hung out for maybe two minutes before the cops started chasing you off... a handful of our guys managed to rush the field by tossing a banner over the barbed wire... those were the good old days... but what I'm trying to remember is, was that the same game where about 50 of us rolled in from San Diego on an Amtrak and totally wrecked the local team's homecoming party down at the cave? man, my memory isn't what it used to be...🤷
