Anesthesia, Resuscitation, and ICU: Q&A
in Health ·
I was wondering if anyone here could clarify what kind of anesthesia is typically used during a vaginal hysterectomy?
Specifically, I’m curious whether they go with general endotracheal anesthesia—where the anesthetic is delivered through a tube—or if it’s general intravenous anesthesia using either a standard mask or a tube that just provides oxygen and air?
It seems like this thread has gone a bit quiet lately, even though we've had some wonderful anesthesiologists in the past who provided such insightful information and helpful advice.
Has everyone moved on? You all were such a massive help!
