Tickets ranged from $167 up to $700. The $500 ones are obviously sold out, but there are still plenty left at $200 if anyone finds those affordable enough...

I felt the same way, much to my own surprise.
I ended up seeing it purely by accident because the other movie I wanted to see was sold out—and since it was right around Christmas, I figured, why not?
Maybe the secret is that the lower your expectations, the better the experience.
The humor is mostly dark, too.

Just got back from the theater...
Since I wasn't expecting much to begin with, I wasn't exactly disappointed (though I’d have loved if it actually exceeded my low bar).
The best scene was when the two leads are trapped in a basement plotting their escape while the guy outside overhears everything.
And that part where the three of them are sitting in a diner recapping all their trauma? It felt like some random DVD extra accidentally spliced into the middle of the movie.
To top it off—how do you even explain the fact that 99% of the audience in an almost empty theater were just middle schoolers? When I walked in, I honestly thought I had the wrong auditorium... maybe they were showing a cartoon?
