Just wanted to stir this thread up a little bit... I guess I was wondering what the best way is to cut plexiglass—specifically for making fan holes—and how one might go about mounting it to a case so it actually looks decent?

Well, obviously they aren't going to list Windows Vista support on them, since they don't exactly have a crystal ball to predict which OS is coming out next... if you pick up a bug CD from 2000, I guess you'll see if the apps say Windows XP ???
Besides, I doubt he's planning on running ancient software on a brand new machine... I suppose all the newer programs will support Vista!

The Corporation is setting up an OS on a new machine... I guess if they care about gaming, they should probably stick with Windows XP because Vista is a bit sluggish in that department. But if they’re looking for a snappier interface, maybe Vista would have the edge on a new rig...

By 2014, Windows XP will probably feel just like Windows 95 does now. By then, Windows 7 might already be considered old... and you'll still be hanging onto Windows XP. 😁
Long after everyone else has moved on to DirectX 15, you'll likely still be stuck with DX 9.0c on Windows XP. 👍

As for that "trading a horse for a donkey" part... that was pretty much my experience when I downgraded from Vista back to Windows XP. It felt exactly like that, so I ended up reinstalling Vista that same day.

I guess I’d suggest Roger Cook25 try both and just decide which one works better for him personally... 👍

I don't think that's it, since I usually keep the memory around 700-750... I never really push it past that.

Just putting this here so I don't start a whole new thread:
I'm running into a bit of an issue while trying to overclock my Intel Core 2 Duo E4400. It seems like as soon as I bump the frequency up just a little—say from 2.0 to 2.3—the computer just freezes up on me after about three minutes. I've been trying to nudge the Intel up in small increments through the BIOS, but I guess it ends up being the same story every single time...😢

The temperatures seem to be staying pretty "normal," I suppose....
