I was watching some old college highlights last night and it really hit me how thin the line is between a legendary career and being forced into retirement. We talk so much about stats, draft stock, and physical dominance, but we rarely stop to think about how one split-second mistake or one bad hit can just end everything for a person.

It’s heavy stuff. You see these athletes training their whole lives, sacrificing everything to reach the top, and then a single moment of bad luck changes their entire life trajectory. It’s not just about losing a game; it's about losing an identity. I know a guy from my high school days who had to walk away from the sport entirely because of a similar scare, and seeing him try to pivot into a completely different career path was honestly heartbreaking.

Do you think we, as fans, put too much pressure on these players to "tough it out" when the risks are clearly this high?
Dealing with Maculopathy in Health ·
I’ve been diagnosed with degenerative macularopathy too, but mine was triggered by a toxic drug reaction. So, it isn't actually age-related degeneration; it's strictly a side effect from medication.
Does anyone have any insight on this? It’s already been three years since my diagnosis, and my vision is pretty much shot. I'm looking for info from outside the US, because honestly, I'm willing to travel anywhere to find answers.

It's definitely not worth the price tag.
I'm not sure if there's actually any athletic benefit to using this. Maybe. 🤷

I disagree with you. I’ve been using this thing for two years now, and honestly, if it didn't have that crazy trackball, I wouldn't even be writing or working on my computer today.
Don't even get me started on my arm muscles. 👍
Spot on. Number one.
Nature Made Calcium Citrate in Health ·
I ran a health food store for five years, and I always reached for Nature Made first. Sure, they’re pricier, but you get what you pay for in terms of quality. I tried the calcium plus D tablets from Twinlab once, and man, the stomach cramps were unbearable. Maybe it's just me, though—everyone reacts differently to supplements. At the end of the day, 🙄 you get what you pay for.
That's great. Now that I can't find anything locally, I guess I'll have to go through you. 🙂

I need all of that... but why are you pushing the Twinings stuff?

It's called speed. Plus, I'm at work... sorry if you can't keep up.

Grace Fisher31 said:I picked up some liquid calcium from Nature Made (the orange flavored one). It says to give it a light shake, but there's this white layer sitting at the bottom under the water that just won't budge. Now I'm worried I'm basically just drinking plain water all the time. 🙄Has anyone actually used this calcium before?

Wait, why are you taking it and what did it set you back? Do you know how many mg are in it? I have to take it too, so I'm currently scouring the web to see which brand is actually the best.😕
