Dealing with Maculopathy

I was wondering if anyone here has dealt with a diagnosis that specifically mentions maculopathy? My mom just got her results back from an eye specialist, and it says maculopathia oc.sin. I've been scouring the internet, but everything I find seems to point toward diabetic maculopathy, which doesn't apply here since she isn't diabetic. Any insight at all would be greatly appreciated. That basically means there's maculopathy in the left eye, implying the macula is damaged on that side... the macula is part of the retina where your vision actually forms, so her sight in that left eye is compromised. I can't say for certain, but it's most likely just standard age-related macular degeneration setting in.

I’ve been diagnosed with degenerative macularopathy too, but mine was triggered by a toxic drug reaction. So, it isn't actually age-related degeneration; it's strictly a side effect from medication.
Does anyone have any insight on this? It’s already been three years since my diagnosis, and my vision is pretty much shot. I'm looking for info from outside the US, because honestly, I'm willing to travel anywhere to find answers.

Dear Paul Howard10, I just received my diagnosis today—Degeneratio, Maculopathia in.obs, and Dystrophy... I’ve been taking Delagila tablets for about two months now. To be honest, my vision is still quite poor, and I’m feeling rather lost regarding the next steps. They suggested I get an OCT scan for my left eye privately; I'll definitely be doing that, as the local hospitals simply don't provide those services... I should have everything sorted out in a few days through a private clinic. Best regards to you! P.S. I am currently using artificial tears and Indocollyre solution
