He did spend that one year alongside the very best—it was a short stint, certainly—but he walked away having learned quite a bit from the experience. 👍

I actually hopped on here specifically to tell Raymond Ortiz89 to quit talking nonsense, but it looks like you beat me to the punch and already stepped in. 😉

hitting sub-1.18 today 👍
which is honestly encouraging—we’re seeing pretty solid pace even during those longer stints, too. ☕
It looks like the car is finally performing exactly how it should—properly dialed in and ready to go

We’ve still got this afternoon and then a full day of testing tomorrow—if things keep moving in this direction, we might even see some times dipping below 1.18👍
They definitely aren't running at full 2009 specs just yet... McLaren spent yesterday morning testing with the old 2008 rear wing setup, and it wasn't until the afternoon that Lewis actually got out there for a few laps using the complete 2009 specification—though, of course, they weren't utilizing KERS at all.
Here is a quick video from yesterday's testing session

As for the Renault—man, what a disaster. It is just plain ugly. Though, from what I can gather, they might be the only ones running a front wing where that top element extends all the way to the nose. Personally, I find that much more appealing than the Toyota design, where the nose sits so high it looks like a chunk of the front wing just fell off underneath it...
It’s not that the wing goes all the way to the nose, my friend; it’s just that the nose itself is shaped so that it reaches all the way to the wing.😂
From what I’ve gathered, fins are supposedly permitted—though given the recent tweaks to the rear wing, it's anyone's guess how many they'll actually bother using.
That said, this look on the Renault is just excessive—it's ugly from every possible angle. I won't even get started on the nose or the front wing; I can only hope this is some sort of temporary shroud over
the actual car colors, which are also pretty terrible.
Honestly, it's easily the most ridiculous thing we've seen so far, in every sense of the word. I'm quite disappointed.

I mean, sure, maybe he didn't offer that mechanic a shoulder to cry on like Luca mentioned—he might have been busy yelling or throwing things in the garage—but during the press conference, he actually hunched his shoulders and made the statement I laid out. So, let's try to avoid the misinformation moving forward. If you're skeptical, just head over to pitpass.com and read the actual transcripts from the presser yourself.
Lewis Hamilton might ramble sometimes, but at least he’s sincere; he hasn't lost his touch professionally.
As for Massa—if your account of this is accurate—he might want to consider a career in acting. Maybe he can snag an Oscar since winning the championship seems to be out of the question.
He could always play a cocaine smuggler, you know? White powder in the gas tank, speeding across the border... that kind of thing.
Honestly, they really ought to install proximity sensors on the Ferrari and make sure every single mechanic is equipped with one—that way, the car simply won't be allowed to fire up unless everyone is at least ten feet clear of the chassis.
And they should probably give one to Massa too, just to ensure the car can't launch until he’s actually out of the cockpit.
As much as I love to joke, the car shouldn't be quite as clueless as Massa is; after all, deep down in the heart of that red bucket, there's still some McLaren electronics keeping things running.
Edward Howard2 said:that wasn't a fair miss, and I'm really hoping the FIA reaches a just decision regarding this matter. ☕
As for being a "fan"... surely you could have gathered by now that I'm not a supporter of Lewis, Massa, or Kimi—which, frankly, allows me to look at this whole mess with a bit more objectivity than you can. So, please, spare me those "biased fan" accusations; they just don't hold water here. 😛
Who's talking about fairness? Give me a break.
The rules are straightforward: he needs to pit, and nothing in the rulebook specifies exactly how much leeway there is. He missed his window, and that's that—case closed.
And honestly, you aren't being an objective observer or even a real fan; you're just being a straight-up troll.
What an absolute joke—I mean, what was that? Kimi went wide right at the start, cutting way too far out through the first turn just to carry more speed than everyone else, and then he somehow slides right past Massa like nothing even happened. It’s honestly ridiculous how they let that slide.
