After watching Kilmer stumble through a few lackluster projects over the last few years, I have to say this movie is actually fantastic; if you haven't seen it yet, do yourself a favor and check it out.

So, I finally sat down and watched it. I have to bring up the Taken phenomenon because there’s definitely a family dynamic at play here. In Taken, he's out to save his daughter, but he basically leaves a trail of bodies in his wake to get to the guy responsible. To make a long story short, the movie isn't bad by any means, but it's certainly nothing to write home about either. It’s just your typical, run-of-the-mill flick, especially considering all the garbage Hollywood usually tries to feed us lately.

To make a long story short, I actually sat down and watched this a few days ago. Honestly, I was pretty impressed; the dark humor is spot on, and the movie manages to dodge almost every tired cliché you'd expect to see. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a performance from Nicolas Cage that actually hit the mark for me.

So, what do you film buffs think about this one?

I've got it, but I haven't actually sat down to watch it yet... though I have this nagging fear it might end up being something along the lines of Taken.

I’d just hand them ten bottled beers each—no glasses involved because I’m not in the mood for the mess—say my peace, and head out.

Besides, you’ll come out ahead if you leave them sitting there soaked and miserable while they foot the bill for your drinks.
