Morgan Williams said:Sure, they’re more or less the same garbage—Islam being a bit coarser at the root—except they haven't dealt with revolutions and just stayed stuck at that level. I was talking to a history major a couple of months back; he says the exact same thing.

What's the issue here? You actually think Christianity is this peaceful faith of love, or that Christians acted all saintly before the Reformation and various revolutions? Or do you really believe Muslims would still be this problematic even after total social upheaval and legal overhauls?

Let’s get back to reality and the 21st century.

No, this is impossible. He should have flown from Greece to Paris a long time ago.

Are we really saying that because there's a statistical chance that 1% of refugees might be terrorists, we should just screw over the other 99% and leave them to head back into a war zone? I'm dying to know how the logic would hold up if the US, Canada, or Europe had applied that kind of reasoning to our situation back in the 90s.

Exactly. There isn't even a war going on in Turkey right now. And honestly, I have no idea how many Americans who fled during the 90s ended up forming terrorist cells—if anyone actually has any data on that, please share.

Think about it. If you fly, you’re going through intense security screenings, and they probably require visas now too—or maybe they always did, who knows? But if you're traveling on foot, you've got tens of thousands of people from the Middle East moving with you. These islands are tiny; they just can't handle that kind of influx. In this situation, the Greek authorities basically want people to leave the country as fast as possible. Isn't it much easier to slip through the cracks when you're surrounded by a massive crowd, rather than being stuck on a flight from Beirut to Paris with a hundred other passengers? Plus, there are intelligence agencies working to stop them, right? They're definitely monitoring everyone coming in on flights from those regions. If people are walking across borders, isn't it a lot harder to keep tabs on them?

I could spend all day pulling up quotes, reactions, and all the mockery from two months ago when I warned that certain extremists would inevitably find a way through, but I just can't bring myself to do it. Why? Because you guys were being incredibly shortsighted.

So, this Greek source is claiming one of the attackers was actually on Leros back on October 3rd.

Oh, really? 😁 Did someone sell them out?

And how are they supposed to prove they're refugees if they don't have Syrian documents handy?

BREAKING: Police officials: Syrian passport found on body of 1 suicide bomber at a stadium in New York City.

We still don't know for sure. Could he have flown in? Maybe he used a rental car or a private vehicle? Or perhaps he's just an American citizen using a fake passport? Who knows?

Just wait twenty or thirty years. What happens when their kids hit an identity crisis?

This is a complete disaster. Honestly, if you think this is how things should be, then go ahead and head over to the World Cup; I bet those extremists can't wait until June arrives. Their President was right there at the stadium, yet the security services failed to anticipate any kind of attack. According to the latest reports, we're looking at at least 30 dead and 60 people taken hostage in some theater.

Let Claire burn it all down if she wants. Who can blame her when her entire platform is built on nothing but weed?

I had Lovrinović as a professor for several courses, so I know exactly where he stands regarding both the Republicans and the Democrats (just like how I know that at his book launch, only people like Marić from the GOP ☕, along with Coric, showed up—and they’re just colleagues from the same department). As for Petrinina's views? I don't even need to bring those up.

It's just as easy to conclude that the leaders of the Bridge Party are all die-hard conservatives. But honestly, is that the only thing they actually have in common?

Of course nobody voted for the Democrats when they didn't even bother to show up out there.

Noah Roberts46 said:Honestly, this was completely expected. Maybe the Democrats will pull off some miracle and win it after all. Hope springs eternal, I guess. ☕

The real question is whether that would even be enough. You need 76 seats to form a government, and we've only processed about 59% of the precincts. Those ratios could still shift significantly. Look at the 2nd District—the Democrats were leading earlier, but now the Republicans have taken the lead. Votes come in with such unpredictable momentum.

ironpanther5 said:Look, I’m certainly no fan of the Democratic Party, but... 🎉

Anyone out there voting for the absolute worst option—or even just choosing the lesser of two evils—is essentially just voting for evil.
Between the various fringe parties, the radicals, and those "for the family" types, there's a little bit of chaos for everyone to go around.

It is honestly embarrassing to see that among the 18-to-30 demographic, the Democrats are sitting at 29% while the Republicans are at 21%. It turns out nearly half of our young people are actually casting votes for total disaster. I mean, sure, we could point back to 2003, or the scandals of 2007, or even how things went down in 2011, but after a term like this one? I was reading some poll recently—maybe it was from CNN, so take it with a grain of salt—but it looked like over 50% were leaning that way.

I get it, the older generation is obsessed with the old ways; they probably lived through enough history to feel entitled to their views, but as for the kids? Honestly, we should just send them all to boarding school in Switzerland to get some actual discipline and bring them back when they turn 18.

Wait, isn't it the other way around? Or did I get my wires crossed?

I can't find the specific link to that Fox News poll right now, but I'm pretty sure that age group leans Republican, while retirees lean Democratic.

edit: found it here. It looks like they didn't bundle everything together; it seems to be broken down by district. http://www.cnn.com/election/results/district-breakdown

Rachel Cooper3 said:Did you see how he went full-on troll mode with the GOP and Tomislav Karamarko at the rally and the campaign kickoff? Just waving flags everywhere—totally excessive—and then shouting at the top of his lungs America, America...... 🤣 He actually delivered this sudden, unexpected patriotic speech.

And I’m sitting here looking at 🤣, thinking—as if anyone on the right is ever going to vote for the Democratic Party.

Larry Fox5 said:Phil, it would be even more pathetic if you were sitting here mocking refugees—people who have gone through basically the same hell you did. These poor souls traveled thousands of miles just to escape death, leaving everything they ever loved behind.

I don't give a damn about your attitude, because I just can't wrap my head around it.

Look, let's get real for a second. Once they cleared those first hundred or two hundred miles, they had already escaped certain death.

Besides, down in the Midwest, it gets scorching—hitting 95 or 100 degrees easy—and these trains carrying them don't even have AC. When it's 85 outside, being stuck in those cars feels like straight-up hell.

This doesn't look good at all. If Angela Merkel is being sincere, why isn't she sending planes to pick them up from Turkey? Does she even see what's happening right now?
