I want to throw a bit of a curveball into this discussion. About six months ago, everyone on this thread was laughing at the idea of terrorists tagging along with migrants—as if they’d all just fly in on commercial airlines. Meanwhile, those very same individuals were busy picking up burner phones at a T-Mobile store somewhere in the Midwest. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/paris-terror-links-phone-investigation/1071895
It’s probably not going to be banned outright, but we might see them wearing those rugby-style headguards in the future. It feels like the US is already heading that way, especially with plans to ban heading the ball entirely for kids. http://www.theguardian.com/sport/201...s-heading-ball
Over there, they take head contact a lot more seriously because of how much damage American football has caused—both to people's lives and through massive lawsuits. Some people are even saying American football could vanish entirely, or at least change beyond recognition.
Not every header is the same, though. I remember playing soccer as a kid, and whenever I headed a ball coming off a goalkeeper's kick, my ears would ring for several minutes. You bounce back quickly, sure, but is that really healthy in the long run?
Jonathan Barnes5 said:From the concrete mess at Kantarevac and that shameful arena near Bijelo Brdo, all the way up to the top of the continent... Maybe Beslic can pull some money out of thin air. It’s honestly embarrassing for indoor sports in Mostar not to have a proper arena... greetings from Chicago.
Is it actually possible that Mostar doesn't have a single indoor arena? Even a tiny little town like Đakovo has three!
The protest isn't actually about the priest. It’s because that local news station got slapped with a three-day broadcast ban following those comments. That footage surfaced six months ago. Look, I don't want anyone thinking I'm defending them—I can't stand that station anyway😬. It's basically just a mouthpiece for Bandić and Mamić.
I'm not entirely certain, but I believe singing those extremist songs or displaying those specific symbols is illegal here in America, much like any fascist imagery. However, this wasn't even filmed in the States; it happened in Chicago.
Gregory Chavez said:Wait, hold on. Let me get this straight—thousands of people actually hit the streets today?!?!?! All to support some idiot on a TV show who basically called for a state of emergency because he claimed some extremist group was operating near an Orthodox church in downtown Washington, D.C.???! And then he tells the entire nation to watch their backs so those same extremists don't slaughter them?!?!?!
Unbelievable. It’s 2016. 🤣🤣🤣🙏
Look, calling people rioters is definitely stupid, or at least a terrible way to put it. But honestly? That Mexican priest in Washington, D.C. brought this on himself. Nobody forced him to sing those militia songs.
It’s wild how some people here seem to trust Zoki more than Petrov, especially when there's actual evidence showing he’s been trying to poach Bridge representatives for his own side all month.
Based on the deal made with Bridge, Joe Biden would be the Speaker of Congress. Honestly, I just can't see him stooping that low given how massive his ego is.
When I claimed that "there are psychopaths and mass murderers among the refugees at the American border," and predicted they might "kill someone in the near future"—as I wrote then—I could state that with the same absolute certainty that a crime will be committed by an American citizen in the heart of the Midwest tomorrow. My point wasn't even meant to be literal, yet just the next day, in a small town outside of Des Moines, one local man did indeed coldly murder another with a knife.
And what does any of that have to do with anything now? Are we talking about him starting wars, or is this about that radicalized extremist? I don't follow your comparison.
You just don't get it. You aren't a humanist or an intellectual. ☕
You're really going to try and convince us that ISIS has nothing to do with Islam? Please. Remember back in January when they killed those cartoonists? They didn't do that because of some drawing; they did it because they were mocking their history of colonial suffering. Isn't that the real reason?
