Apparently, the government in Finland is working on legislation that would criminalize even just visiting websites that promote ideas like preserving the white race. I think they might be looking at prison sentences of up to four years for this.

It feels like liberal totalitarianism is really gaining ground in Europe...

Maybe even just browsing sites that aren't considered "proper" by liberal ideological standards could land you in jail.

I’ve always called that logo "The house of the Rising Sun." You can actually see the sunbeams.

For those who aren't familiar with the song, it refers to a prison in New Orleans, though I guess it could represent just about any prison.

Does anyone actually know what this is? 😁

his bosses, who showed him footage of himself stealing beer

Yeah, right... I guess racism is when you won't let an African American steal beer...

Look, this topic has been chewed up and spit out on the Health board more times than I can count. Honestly, the moderators over there just need to grab those two or three existing threads and merge them into one.
If we were actually digging into the chemical composition of opacity or how to neutralize it, then maybe it would belong over on the National Science Foundation board, since we'd be getting into the heavy biochemistry. But a thread asking "what is this?" is just redundant when it's already posted in two other spots. This forum is supposed to be a place for actual discussion and debate, not some digital encyclopedia where people just open new entries, or some bottom-tier service like Quora.

On the Health board, they just discuss how OPTICALLY we can even see those structures.

I have my doubts, buddy...

The moderation standards on "Science" seem to have really slipped lately.

Moving this to "Health" is pointless and actually counterproductive. The core issue isn't whether we're talking about eye floaters or if they're harmless. The point is really about the OPTICAL PHENOMENON itself—how light passes through eyelashes to make those tiny particles visible. This makes it a matter of physics and optics rather than medicine.

It’s a bit strange to me that the moderators over in the "Science" subforum, who you'd assume would grasp this, missed the obvious connection here.

When you look at streetlights at night, those "lines of light" create an effect similar to a star filter
.
However, those tiny grains and the overlapping fibers you often see through your eyelashes when that star effect happens are harder to explain. It’s almost as if the interaction with your eyelashes acts like a microscopic lens.

I guess the reason I suspect it's just dust on the surface of the eye is because the pattern of those grains and fibers shifts every time you blink.

Have you ever noticed that when you squint or look at a light source through your eyelashes—like a round chandelier or sunlight hitting your lashes—you often see these tiny structures? Depending on how you focus, they look like little grains or fibers floating around.

It feels like there might be dust particles sitting right on the surface of the eye, I guess.

Does anyone know how to explain this phenomenon?
I've been searching Google, but I just can't seem to find any definitions that clearly distinguish between morality and the Ethics Committee.

So, what's the actual difference? What defines morality versus the Ethics Committee?
