rowdyangler said:Instead of just explaining how you're going to follow the rules like everyone else, you just went out of your way to find an excuse for why you shouldn't have to.🤷

I've been looking over the poll, and it’s pretty obvious that none of you—considering you're all just part of the "inventory"—should be in that position. Honestly, I wouldn't be up for it either.

The subforum finally got a shot at running without a moderator, and we all saw exactly how that played out—it just allowed the guy with the biggest ego to step up and act like the ultimate gatekeeper. Of course, that’s just a metaphor. Honestly, this kind of power trip would probably happen in pretty much any other subforum too.

I don't know who it would be. It’s pretty obvious that nobody would actually want that—spending 85% of their time dealing with Parsifal.

You guys seriously have a massive problem here, and honestly, I’m not even sure if it's fixable. How on earth did they handle this back in ancient Greece? 😁
Since you guys are clearly the smart ones, do some thinking. I'm just a spectator watching this from the sidelines.

I don't know if you'll believe me, but I have actually never read the forum rules.
Instead, I learned them through experience. If I hadn't been following the spirit of this place, neither the forum nor I would still be happily married after 20 years.😁

For instance, it took me a whole month to realize that Anderson isn't just a username, but the owner's actual last name.😲

And it’s only now, after two decades, that I've finally seen what the man actually looks like.😲

It's also my first time in 20 years of "marriage" to this forum encountering a rule about not splitting one single thought into three separate posts just for the sake of formatting and readability.🤔

I truly believe that the motivation behind someone's actions is what really matters.

My reasoning for splitting my long posts into two or three parts is simply to make them easier and more pleasant for others to read.

I think that's pretty fair, honestly.🙂

Does it really bother you that much when I do that?
🤔

Or maybe it’s just the type of person who thinks the rules simply don't apply to them. Given how much he prides himself on his intellect, I’d say that’s exactly the case.

To be clear, I’m not advocating for banning hiddenpuma75 because, despite all this, he actually is a high-quality member. He’s just gotten a bit too carried away, and since we're talking about philosophy, there isn't anyone here to clip his wings. It's all metaphorical, of course.

Don't think I'm just some random interloper; I read this subforum constantly without posting, but I believe we seriously need to appoint a moderator. As we can see, even the best among us aren't immune to deviant behavior when given the chance—especially when they are given the chance.
The lack of a moderator has clearly created an opening for one member to dominate the space and fire off over 40 shots during a game. If this were LeBron James and he actually hit 20 of those shots, I wouldn't even complain, but 90% of hiddenpuma75's shots are landing straight in the well. As it stands, the playing field isn't level for the rest of the users.

You can get caught up in the formalities, but you're missing the heart of the matter.

Personally, I find myself skipping through those massive walls of text where the words just bleed together.

Since I actually enjoy debating things and tend to write quite extensively, I’ve realized that nobody else is going to want to read my posts if they're just one giant, intimidating block of text.😬

So, to keep my proverbially long essays—written with a certain level of flair, mind you—more digestible, I break them down into two or three smaller "packages" so they're much easier on the eyes. 🙂

On a personal level, they really ought to ban hiddenpuma75 from discussing philosophy altogether, given how he's branded as a "fascist," a "scumbag," a "wicked manipulator," a "neoliberal bottom-feeder," and a "reactionary worm."

Then we can all go back to being perfectly happy, because those of us who identify as communists and leftists will get to sit around, have lovely little chats, and just shower one another with praise.🙂 ''

Or so our Sigmund concludes,

the man affectionately known as Highland.

Or, as their intellectual guru Sigmund Freud put it quite clearly.

(I’m paraphrasing here, though I am staying true to his actual sentiment)

There is no such thing as freedom until we dismantle religion.

Sigmund starts off with that lofty, Hegelian tone... 🙂

"All of history is essentially the story of humanity progressing toward freedom.
Because of that, everyone should be granted freedom of speech, freedom of action, tolerance, and justice."

And yet, our dear Sigmund goes looking for exceptions that simply don't live up to those grand ideals, effectively plummeting from those high clouds of idealism straight into the mud, where he happily splashes around in insults and petty trivialities.

"The Church (religion) ought to be destroyed or marginalized, reduced to the same status held by astrology or conspiracy theories."

Sorry, but you’ve got me laughing my head off.
It's not like we're at Gric. And you aren't some little witch that someone's going to burn at the stake.🤣

Man, since this is the first time you’re reaching out to me, I figured I should probably return the favor and introduce myself properly!

Have you ever heard that metaphor?
For those who love a bit of colorful expression.

What I mean to say is that we aren't talking about actual bonfires here—that's just a metaphor.
It feels like there’s already a calculated effort underway to push me out of the picture. 😉

So, it’s a united women's effort. 🙂 😁 After twenty years of contributing to this forum, they actually want to kick me out.It honestly feels like I’m the one defending them for starting threads that they wouldn't even dream of opening if it weren't for me. They barely write anything meaningful, and they haven't even managed to start five topics together. 🙄

They’re trying to silence me!

They tend to be pretty tolerant toward everyone—well, everyone except those who actually dare to think differently than they do.

Oh, you're not getting away with that one, you rogue! 😁

10.
Look, we’ve clearly made some progress lately, so there's no way hiddenpuma75 is going back to the dark ages or hiding in a bunker. .👍

11.

But honestly, why don't we just BAN him from the forum entirely? We’d all be much happier. Then, the true philosophy and spirituality of this place could finally breathe again, allowing us to get back to producing those top-tier posts that this wicked little manipulator and reactionary pest has been preventing us from sharing until now.

And maybe a few of us might even get an honorary doctorate from the Department of Education. 😁

History shows us how this plays out: the US government interned Japanese Americans in the Nevada desert back in 1941; the Nazis targeted Jewish people from 1933 to 1945; and communist regimes suppressed political opposition in Russia and the USA, as well as in various totalitarian states between 1917 and 1990.

It generally happened in one of two ways:

a) You’re sent to a labor camp for "re-education" (a temporary fix)
b) Or you’re forced underground—effectively erased from society forever.

Because, let's face it—if you eliminate the person, you eliminate the problem. Then, those of us left standing can just pat ourselves on the back and pretend everything is fine. 🙂

8. Look, this person isn't out to get you, messing with your head, or even threatening your livelihood. They aren't stealing from you or insulting you—honestly, they don't even care about you. They’re just as anonymous as you are, so just focus on YOUR OWN LIFE.

The truth is, you're just desperate to SHUT THEM DOWN because you can't come up with any actual substance—no real ideas, no unique style, no way to point out the flaws in their platform or who they are...😲

It’s honestly unthinkable and fundamentally unfair—it's practically an intellectual crime 😲 TO GANG UP

simply because they don't align with your personal tastes.

1. Morning light always brings a certain clarity that late nights just can't match.

2. It’s funny how much better you can see things when you step back and look from a different angle.

3. A good friend of mine actually pointed out something recently—he showed me a forest I was standing right in the middle of, yet somehow couldn't see.
I was so caught up in the individual trees and all those tiny details that I completely missed the big picture, which would have been perfectly obvious if I had just looked down from a higher vantage point.

4. Here is roughly how my friend put it...

Think of this forum as a PUBLIC SPACE, like a busy pier, a boardwalk, or even a bustling corner in New York City or a massive metropolitan park..
People are constantly walking by, peering in, chatting, shouting, or simply sharing their thoughts and platforms...

5. You might find some speakers engaging and others totally uninspiring.
The trick is to just tune out the boring ones or the people you don't particularly care for, and focus your attention on the ones who actually interest YOU.🙂 ...

Kenneth Cruz67 said:Well, I suppose you're more or less right about everything. It's just that the people carrying out the hit aren't nearly as important as the person who actually ordered it—and you aren't even pointing a finger at them. Instead, you're just standing there looking like a total mess in the middle of a crowded room. It's so obvious that even an occasional lurker on this forum, like me, can see it.

Honestly, at this hour, I haven't the slightest clue who you're talking about. So, why don't you introduce us to this "grand jury" of yours? You've got the judge, the prosecutor, and then there's me, sitting here in the defendant's chair.

Melissa Stewart6 actually managed to boil down the entire essence of our philosophy department in just one sentence

If hiddenpuma75 were busy mocking religions, tearing into capitalism, and waxing poetic about the "glory days" of the old communist era—just like Sandra Murphy33 and her crew seem to suggest—then he’d actually fit right in with them.

We really need to find a way to stop hiddenpuma75, because honestly, he’s just not one of us!

And that is essentially the entire "conflict" happening in the philosophy department!

Everything else is just smoke, mirrors, and linguistic gymnastics.
😉
Seeking expert guidance: How to write a proper defense? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
The real issue with hiddenpuma75 is that he’s constantly writing, starting discussions, translating, and staying active—all while wrestling with the legacy of Marx and Hegel, along with the echoes of old-school Communist Party doctrine...

Since the followers of Marx and Hegel pretty much run the philosophy department, they try to shut down any dissenting views through outright censorship.

At its core, this is just a clash of ideas that has been mischaracterized as being about hiddenpuma75's personal style.

That is the heart of the matter; the individual isn't actually the point.
I'm not here to sell anything or push an agenda.
Seeking expert guidance: How to write a proper defense? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Besides, what kind of debate is this where communism critiques religion but refuses to engage with any criticism aimed back at communism? 🙄

From thirty thousand feet up, it’s pretty clear that my opinion doesn't even matter here.

We're looking at a total clash of worldviews—a full-blown culture war...

They try to silence anyone with a different perspective through censorship or by blowing accusations wildly out of proportion...

Notice how they don't mind when Adis Sabovic goes on a rant because he's clearly playing for their team. Plus, he's a permanent ban from this forum anyway. I don't see Sandra Murphy33 or anyone else reporting him.

It seems the only one actually bothering them is hiddenpuma75
. 😉

rustydrifter10 said:And honestly, that’s just Spam. You aren't actually saying anything new; you're just copy-pasting without contributing anything meaningful to the conversation. Dragging a massive pile of quotes from one thread to another isn't a real discussion—it's just noise.

Since you clearly didn't feel like reading the whole thing, I'll give you the short version.

I specifically listed posts that represent genuine, original work—stuff that involves transcribing books or actually contributing to the topic.

These are essentially the philosophical responses from Kierkegaard and Dostoevsky to Feuerbach's ideas.
There isn't even a single mention of my supposed writing on communism in there.
Seeking expert guidance: How to write a proper defense? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
so, here is what I am going to suggest:

A SPECIALIZED SUB-FORUM—just a private corner for hiddenpuma75 where you can run wild with nothing but consecutive, hysterical rants across every single thread + basically, all topics would belong to you. 😎
Your friends could drop by and bring you some "spiritual food," much like feeding a stray dog on a leash—except you wouldn't be allowed to leave, since you clearly don't care if you're being a nuisance or not, and you never really listen to anyone anyway, whether it's because you're just too dense to get it or you simply refuse to respect the other users and insist on pushing your own agenda.

What do you think of that idea?
🙂

It’s an original and funny concept, but there is one fatal flaw.

The philosophy section would end up completely deserted because you, Sigmund, Simpleton, and Ant88 would just be posting the exact same things over and over again

about how glorious communism was in the past, is now, and will be in the future,
about how pathetic religion is,
about how great life used to be back in America

and how America is just crawling with extremists lurking to attack the children of Hegel and Marx.

We'd hear all about the crimes of capitalism and the greatness of Comrade Tit. 🙂

It would honestly be incredibly dull—essentially a one-party communist philosophical system—so it's only fair that we have an opposition in the form of hiddenpuma75 and his crew. 😉

It’s pretty obvious you need to be banned from any serious discussion since you just Spam the board with the same useless, boring posts over and over again—

That might be true, but I’ve actually started most of our philosophy threads, many of which have had some fantastic engagement 🙂

For instance, I'm quite proud 🙂 of the thread

The Best of Philosophy 👍

or
Philosophy quiz

or

Philosophy of Science: Scale, Limits, and Scientific Errors 👍

or

The Philosophy of Debate, featuring the much-anticipated showdown: Žižek vs Jordan Peterson 👍

Sandra Murphy33 said:It can't be a matter of personal animosity, considering we haven't actually met.

See how you just ramble nonsense?

It’s obvious you need to be removed from any serious discussions because you constantly Spam threads with the same repetitive, worthless, and tedious posts—you drop seven or eight comments in a row, peppered with large, bolded fonts, completely deviating from the topic. Either you're too dense to realize you've derailed the conversation into territory where it doesn't belong, or you simply don't care; you just mark your territory like a dog, desperate to link every single thought in your head back to your trivialities, your delusions, and communist crimes.

You manage to offend both the angels and the devils, yet you casually brush off every critique from other users—whether they are being well-meaning or blunt—defending yourself with endless follow-up posts as if you were the most important person in the world, or as if everyone is just waiting for you to show up and talk about yourself or "benevolently" gossip about others.
80% of your contributions are nothing more than mindless, sycophantic babbling; it isn't even functioning as a chat anymore.

You act like a CHILD—as the user Bema correctly pointed out—just running wild because there are no consequences, which is why I suggest the following:

A SPECIAL SUB-FORUM CORNER JUST FOR hiddenpuma75 where you can run wild with your hysterical, consecutive posts, and where you get to own every single thread. 😎
Your little friends could come by and bring you (emotional) sustenance like a stray dog on a leash—but you wouldn't be allowed anywhere else, since you clearly don't care whether you're a nuisance or not, and you refuse to listen to anyone, whether due to sheer stupidity or a blatant lack of respect for other users and your insistence on forcing your agenda.

How does that sound to you?
🙂

You’re getting hung up on the wording rather than the actual point. At the end of the day, we're both just anonymous voices on the internet.

I actually thought you were annoyed by hiddenpuma75's specific style—you know, the worldview, the deep dives, the hard work, and the arguments—rather than anything about him as an individual.😉

And honestly, instead of just sitting there enjoying the show, you could actually step up, say something meaningful, and help cool things down by defending hiddenpuma75.

Since you're right in the middle of this clash of worldviews over philosophy.

It’s almost like seeing how empowered women fighting against the patriarchy

have all teamed up against one single forum member while you just sit back eating popcorn 🍿 and enjoying the chaos 😛

Honestly, I think humor might be the only rational way to deal with this whole cinematic drama unfolding before us. 😁
