What really gets me is watching the young ones fly in the spring. They’re just starting out, totally clumsy, definitely not gliding like pros yet. You watch them stumble through these awkward attempts at hovering. Everyone’s trying to find their own space, bumping into each other, crashing, then getting back up... If you actually pay attention, you’ll see a single speck high above them all—the parent eagle just watching. They aren't interfering or crowding them, but they've got eyes on everything. Just waiting for the right moment to dive in if things go south.
It just shows how love can be perfectly synced, lasting, and built entirely on freedom.

It actually fits right in with what you were saying, because it’s true... I go to this spot out in the woods every now and then where there are these cliffs where eagles nest. Down in the lower forest, you've got those crows hanging around. Sometimes when an eagle catches an updraft and drifts too low, he ends up right in their territory. They swarm him—never just one, always a whole mob. The eagle just ignores them, obviously, since he's the boss. But for those birds, their only strength is being in a group. 😁

Even then, the falcon stays calm; it just spreads its wings and climbs higher. The higher it goes, the more the crow panics, loses control, and just falls off its back... sometimes it recovers, but usually, it just drops.
I don't know. Birds are like people. You've got your crows and your falcons. Some people fight, others just spread their wings and fly.🙂

I haven't heard that one before, and eagles are my absolute favorite birds. I guess falcons are in the same family or something.

Crow's Eye, now I'm not sure if it's a crow, a raven, or a magpie... I can't tell them apart. I just read one Native American legend about a tribe whose totem it was. It refers to that big, powerful black bird, not the ones with black and white feathers.
The legend is about how it's a wise bird that saved their people. I've always liked Native American stories, so I dig this one.
