An unethical offer in Movies ·
Redford's look is slippery, carrying this "I'm going to take everything" attitude, though he ends up being fine. Woody is just desperate because he accepts her even after she’s been messing around with some rich guy later on.
She basically became a gold digger who managed to pull it off in the end.☕
Brutal arrest, American style in Close to Politics ·
Let’s say this second guy was Bruce Lee and he just absolutely lost it, taking out both officers—or maybe he just leveled one while they were stepping into the yard and grabbing him by the arm. Would they still be facing assault charges on an officer? Especially since neither of them is wearing a badge or a hat (not sure if the hat actually matters)

As for their professionalism, you can find all the proof you need in the comment sections of news articles and online forums.☕ It’s pathetic.

Where can I pick up some decent gi gear for judo besides that Pride shop over on Maximirska? Is that bat guy still running things there?
(I know I bought my karate gear from them ages ago.)

dustyhawk32 said:I’ve started noticing this pattern in recent comedies, where they seem to lean way too hard into these explicit scenes...

For instance, in Hall Pass, there’s that bit where Owen Wilson falls asleep in the jacuzzi or a hot tub or whatever... and when he finally wakes up, he starts calling out for help, only to have two guys emerge from the sauna.
One Black guy and one White guy, both completely naked. The Black guy ends up lifting him up and hovering right over him while Owen Wilson is just lying there on the floor. And the whole time, the camera is lingering right on the guy's erect penis...
Then he just asks Owen Wilson, "Are you okay?" as if it wouldn't bother him at all that there's a penis sitting maybe five centimeters away from his head. 🤣

Worst part is, it isn't even erect. ☕
(Anyway, it’s just hanging there loosely, which you can clearly see)

The movie isn't garbage—it’s watchable—but man, they seriously went overboard here... There is zero chance one guy pulls off complex operations like that all by himself, no matter how brilliant he is or how much cash he’s sitting on. And he’s basically playing the entire city and every single agency like a fiddle!! It just doesn't fly.

Then there's that bit about the prison. He tricks them into putting him in solitary, only to run his whole operation from there because he spent years prepping tunnels and gear... I mean, at this rate, you’d think he’d have direct access to the White House and the airport right from his cell. 👎 Is the prison administration just brain-dead??

And the ending! What were they thinking having him bring napalm into the prison? Why would a lawyer walk right into his cell and risk his life like an idiot when the police could have handled it properly?? The script is a total mess... 🙄

Since I always find myself trying to justify the movies I actually enjoy. 😁 I would say:
It’s been enough years since that rigged verdict that there is more than enough time to map out a full plan. You saw how they hauled him in; they found those law books on him, which makes it pretty obvious he came prepared.
The lawyer steps in because the whole situation starts feeling personal once the movie begins. At that point, everyone just interprets things however they want.

The movie is absolute perfection. Most people I hang out with claim Owen Wilson is a subpar actor, but personally, I think he’s top-tier and every role he takes fits him like a glove. 😁
But man, that Australka uffffffffffati... I haven't seen a woman like her in a long, long time. 😁

Noah Ramos said:So what would happen if you just took protein without actually doing anything? Would it have any effect on you?

You'd likely just end up putting on unnecessary fat. If you’re one of those people who thinks—or heard somewhere—that just drinking shakes will make you look like a Greek god out of nowhere, you're mistaken. I heard plenty of idiots claiming stuff like that back in high school. xD
The whole point of protein intake is to speed up the repair of micro-tears in your muscle fibers. Those tears are caused by training, specifically the intense strain put on the muscles. Of course, protein isn't some magic elixir; it's just a supplement to a proper diet. I usually just think of them as "patch kits."😁

mellownomad15 said:Why does everyone seem to have such a vendetta against weight gainers? And yeah, there aren't any women here either, right? Figures.

I can't stand them because they’re usually loaded with sugar and overpriced, so you’d honestly be better off just pairing protein with some glucose. Then again, I’ve tried both approaches. Since I wasn't exactly disciplined enough to stick to a strict diet and everything else, the fact remains that it worked for me. That said, while I was using it, I made a point to avoid sweets and junk food; all that sugar used to make me feel like garbage. Once you get used to the routine, though, you don't even crave the sugary stuff anymore. Just for context, I’m a damn ectomorph by nature, so putting on mass is an uphill battle, but the gainer definitely helped. Now that I'm planning to get back into the gym, I’m weighing my options regarding getting back on the gainer.

Yeah, I get it... 😁 Honestly, I’d love to snag one of those promo tees myself. If anyone happens to have an extra lying around :D They look pretty cool, and I could definitely use them for some casual wear.

Alex Long8 said:Scott Chase, when are you actually planning on grabbing that isolate from Microsoft? Personally, I’ll probably stick with these guys from the other forum for another month or two. Honestly, just grab a bulk tub to save 20%; you might even score a freebie. One guy once scored 1kg of glutamine, which would have felt like hitting the jackpot for me.

😲 By the way... is that glutamine actually any good? Especially since they seem to be handing it out by the barrel.

Honestly, 😁 I haven't the slightest clue... I've got a whole pound of this on hand since I picked it up recently 🙂

Any of those whey proteins I mentioned above would work fine 😁 but right now I'm using Inkorporate Extreme Whey... next up will be the Isologic from Microsoft 😉

Maybe the quality is slightly higher, but we’re splitting hairs here. For the average gym rat, those tiny details don't actually matter—unless they start getting aggressive and pick up absolute garbage 😁 but honestly, MuscleTech, Optimum Nutrition, or Dymatize are all pretty much in the same ballpark; there shouldn't be much of a distinction. I have a buddy who swears by nothing but Weider and treats everything else like it's trash 🙄
people just love to overthink things that are actually quite simple
Cardio vs. Weights: Which is better? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
Either hit some low-to-moderate intensity cardio right after your weight session...for about 25 to 30 minutes

stormylynx96 said:Has anyone here tried the ProV60 from MuscleTech? What’s the consensus on how it stacks up against other proteins on the market?

It's primarily a slow-digesting protein, which makes it ideal for right before bed. It seems decent enough, but it's pretty overpriced; you can easily find an equivalent substitute elsewhere.

If you're just using it for a bulk or maintenance phase, taking a break is probably a good idea. But if your plan involves consistent daily intake of around 5-10 grams, there's really no need to pause. Just don't go overboard with it.
