redheron12 said:If you can't be bothered to actually wake up early for the first race, I guess why are you even watching Formula 1 in the first place... 🙄

Reading comprehension, redheron12. ☕

I never said it was hard getting up—not because I don't want to sleep, but because I’m either a total zombie or too drunk to actually follow the race, or maybe I just can't stay awake long enough to see it through.

Well, it’s a bummer—it looks like everything is starting an hour and a half later than planned. 😬

What do you guys think about the possibility of the race being scrapped as early as next year??

Nice find, I guess. 👍

As far as I'm concerned—maybe they should just scrap it, or at least move it to a night slot. It’s annoying when the race is in the middle of the night; I either end up staying up way too late, passing out, or just zoning out—so I never actually remember anything. I can usually visualize most tracks and their turns, but for the Australian Grand Prix, I only really remember one or two turns, mostly because of those reasons mentioned above.
I'm not exactly a fan, I guess—but since the season is finally kicking off, I'm feeling pretty good about it. 🙂

And here’s more.

Well, you certainly write beautifully—powered by darkmarlin16 🤣
what exactly were you expecting? 😬

We aren't out just yet...
but I don't think we're safe either if we beat Flensburg but lose tomorrow—if HSV wins against Portland in the final round, they're moving on instead.

Hamburg beat Flensburg 32-30—which puts them at the top of our group, I guess.
We’ll probably need a win tomorrow in Pamplona if we're actually looking to make the semifinals.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - General Manager Zoran Gobac isn't holding back, calling the complaints from the German club nothing short of "idiocy." He offered to let New York City review the tape for both games, suggesting they'll end up looking pretty embarrassed themselves. He was also clearly annoyed by the rumors regarding a police escort supposedly following their players from the hotel to the arena.

- They probably would’ve been better off getting some sleep before the game instead of hanging out at Studio 54 - said Zoran Gobac.

• What kind of club?

- Exactly—they were spotted at the Democratic Party lounge bar late at night. Honestly, they looked more comfortable there than they did on the court.

• Still, the accusations coming out of New York City toward your organization seem pretty serious?

- It's all nonsense. What are they actually complaining about? One bad call or someone grabbing a jersey? You can't just look at one single game. If they analyze both matchups, they'll see we were the ones who got screwed. The NBA commissions can verify that. New York City absolutely crushed us.

• Besides that...

- The Germans have been stealing the whole championship, yet we're expected to just stay quiet - Gobac asserted, before adding:

- The truth behind their loss lies elsewhere. First off, they simply didn't know how to handle our offense or defense. You can't blame the refs for that.

Gobac is being blunt—he’s clearly not in the mood for games. 🙏 🙏

Hamburg ended up taking it 32-29.
They're in a pretty good spot—probably cruising toward a semifinal berth, I guess.

Metlicicev Ciudad Real beat Zrnicev Gummersbach today, I guess.

And here’s some news about Balic—stuff you’ve probably already heard...

I guess this should be the number for February, right?
So what happens next—does the new number drop in just two weeks, or how is this supposed to work now?

Daniel Cooper40 said:Week 3 schedule:

Feb 20 (Wed) New York City - Portland
Feb 24 (Sun) Chicago - Chicago

It's a huge game—it’d be great if we could grab a win against Chicago at home... plus a New York Yankees victory on their turf. If that happens, the standings would look like: Yankees 5, Chicago 4, Portland 2, Chicago 1.
We play the Yankees at home again in Week 4... I guess these two weeks are going to decide a lot.

Imagine if we lose to Chicago, and then everyone else just ends up tying their games instead.
In that scenario, I suppose we'd be in first. 😬

Terry Fisher2, nice breakdown 👍

People keep saying New York City is the favorite of the group—even LP seems to think so—and I heard Smith mentioning it too.
Personally, I’m not feeling it; I actually think Chicago might have the edge here.
What do you guys think?

Well, damn—I guess Lino isn't exactly omnipotent either.😬

It's just -8 right now, 😁
Los Angeles Lakers in Other Sports ·
Well, we really stepped in it this time—not sure how we're going to salvage anything positive from this mess...
Los Angeles Lakers in Other Sports ·
Our guys were great—especially that defense.
Balic isn't even half the player he was on the national team. Honestly, he's worse. 😁

There's some chatter about Balic potentially joining the Chicago squad next season. Anyone actually heard anything solid?

mistycyclist51 said:The first game is against the San Antonio Spurs on February 10th—next Sunday—at 6:00 PM...

Correction—the game is actually at 5:30 PM; I saw it on CNN today during the interview with John Doe.
I guess I might actually head down to the arena to catch our guys live after such a long time—plus, we really ought to give it up for Lionel Messi, who apparently still leaves his heart on the court for the national team.

I’m reading in the papers that it's all a wash—there's basically zero chance that arena will actually be finished on time.
So, I guess we'll probably end up playing in Chicago instead.

I'm not exactly up to speed here.
Against Poland this Thursday at 8:15 PM—what time are the other two games scheduled for?

Good grief, why do you feel the need to start a new thread for every little thing?
If you'd actually bothered to read the latest issue, you'd see the next one isn't coming out until February 19th, 2008.

Honestly, this magazine is turning into a total disaster lately.
