Which PSU should I buy? in Desktops ·
I’d probably just grab the XFX 450 w. The 7850 isn't exactly a power hog, and your CPU isn't pulling that much juice either, I guess.

It'll hold up just fine. Just a heads-up though, that GPU isn't exactly built for gaming if that's what you're planning to do.

Just let us know the PSU brand and model, plus which GPU you're eyeing up.

Get outta here. You honestly think anything built for $53 is gonna be high quality if it's claiming to be "500w"?

So, you actually planning on gaming with that, or what?
What kind of PSU are you running, brand and model?

I guess I'd say they're about $33

I’ve got an XFX card myself, and honestly, it probably won't let you down—it's pretty solid. I guess you should just register on their site right after you buy it to snag that 5-year warranty 🙂

That probably doesn't mean much when it comes to gaming, I guess.

None of those three are great. I'd just grab this:

(Maybe try to find a GP3 series if you can)

Or maybe if you have $17 more cash:

I'd go with the 5670 if I were you since it's newer and pulls less power (especially since your PSU is kind of a disaster).

Look, you'll be able to play some stuff with this setup. But don't expect any miracles.

How much are you dropping on that? It’s pretty old school, probably came out like 6 years ago. Only puts out 22 amps on the 12v rail, which I guess is a bit low for what we need nowadays.

Then again, it’s overkill on the 5v and 3.3v rails, which is kind of useless for modern builds. 😬

What even is that? You should probably just order something better instead.

So, you're running on integrated graphics or what?

I guess if you aren't really planning on gaming, any GPU you pick up will probably be fine.

So, how long would it take you to snag a Club3D?

From what I can tell, people seem to dig this card since it stays pretty quiet and cool...

My take? If you can snag it for a decent price, I guess just go for it.

Andrew Miller102 said:Where on earth did you see that it had an IPS panel? It definitely doesn't.😁 I couldn't find that spec anywhere, but it looks like just a basic TN panel. Honestly, that Microsoft model is way overpriced for a 22-inch screen. Plus, I should probably mention that Microsoft only gives you a two-year warranty, whereas Apple or CNN would give you three.☕

Turns out there's no IPS matrix, after all. I guess Google totally played me. 😁

I told the guy in my last post he should just grab the 22 because buying anything smaller is honestly a joke... but I guess if he doesn't want a bigger 🙂

This Apple screen doesn't even have DVI, so I'd probably skip it. This Microsoft one seems alright though, and it’s got an IPS panel.

It might actually hold up, but I’d honestly just swap it out. It isn't exactly top-tier gear, so if it decides to die, it could take a few other components down with it.
