Obviously it’s tied to the processor, but most modern CPUs (even the budget ones) are probably enough for basic everyday use.

You're going to see a massive speed boost, especially if you're running a newer OS like Windows 7

I'm just confused because the site says up to 4GB, but the manual says 2GB max?
Maybe just test it out at a local Best Buy or something.

It’s a way better pick than that "600w" unit. Besides, Corsair's new CX series didn't exactly win any awards either.

I'm not really sure about those new Corsair units; they haven't exactly built a massive reputation yet.

Go with the one that has the faster memory (GDDR5), I guess. Total VRAM capacity isn't really a huge deal, especially at that resolution.

Yeah, it's a decent little card to mess around with. You should probably grab another 1gb of RAM, maybe even 2.

Forget about it. If you actually want to play stuff without breaking the bank, look for a used 4670 or 5670 instead. You won't get anything running on a GT 520. If you're buying new, you should probably aim for at least a GT 440, a 5670, or a 6670.

Some people are saying ASUS dropped the price, others think the distributor just messed up... either way, that new price should be the right one, I guess. A few folks managed to snag it at that rate.

The power supply is pretty trash, but I guess it might hold up since that card is such a low power draw (GT 440). What GPU are you running right now?

What do you mean DDR2? System RAM and video memory are two totally different things, I guess.

The type of memory shouldn't matter; you could even go with GDDR5. As long as the card fits the slot, it'll work, I guess.

And honestly, don't ever pick a card based on how many megabytes it has. That number is about as useful as what color the card is.🙄

It'll run just fine; it's not like the GPU is powerful enough to outrun your CPU anyway.
