Transformers: Age of Extinction is the upcoming sci-fi monster flick serving as the sequel to the original Pacific Rim (2013).

In the first installment, massive monsters (Kaiju) launch an assault on the country via a portal tucked away under the Pacific Ocean. Naturally, humanity's solution was building massive robots—Jaegers—piloted by pairs of drivers to fend off the beasts. They managed to shut down the portal back then, but apparently, that wasn't enough to call it a day.

Venom is an upcoming superhero flick based on Marvel's comics.

In the original comics, Venom started as an alien symbiote worn by Spider-Man—before he realized the suit was actually alive.
After he ditched it, the symbiote went dormant until it bonded with a guy named Eddie Brock, a reporter who lost his credibility thanks to Spider-Man's interference—leaving Eddie with nothing but a grudge and a desire for revenge.



Tom Hardy takes the lead.

I don't know about you all, but I'm actually a fan. I dig how they lean into that sense of mystery—it works for me. Honestly, I'm just counting down the days until the sequel hits.

For many, the Cloverfield franchise remains one of the most enigmatic series in Hollywood.

The first film, simply titled Cloverfield, hit theaters in 2008 as a disaster flick. Essentially, a massive monster "drops" onto New York City and starts leveling everything in sight, all captured through the lens of a guy with a handheld camera. The whole thing was shrouded in secrecy—even the actors auditioning had no idea what they were actually signing up for.

Then came the 2016 follow-up, 10 Cloverfield lane. While everyone was bracing for a direct sequel, this installment took a hard pivot into psychological horror-thriller territory, feeling completely disconnected from the original.

The third entry was originally slated for February 2018, though it’s been pushed back to April 20, 2018. For the longest time, rumors suggested the title would be God Particle, but recent sources are claiming it might actually be called Cloverfield station. Honestly, nobody seems to know the official title for sure.
Word is the plot centers on a space station in low Earth orbit, where the crew is running some particle accelerator experiment that threatens to make the entire Earth vanish. During the chaos, the crew spots a spacecraft heading straight for them, leaving them to wonder if they can actually trust it.



In the US, the standard playbook is theatrical releases followed by a TV run, but that might not apply here. Recent intel suggests the film might skip theaters entirely and head straight to Netflix. It’s coming out pretty soon, yet we still haven't seen a single trailer.
