No slowing down here. The only thing this winter has managed to force me to do is shift into a lower gear while I'm driving, but don't expect any other kind of satisfaction from me.=)

The handle is verified and nobody else is using it. Honestly, these alternating cases and this ugly "_" thing are giving me a headache...

PS: if the single quote isn't allowed, then maybe just caplja89

Caplja89 should work fine, or better yet: Caplja89.
You could even try starting with a special character if the system allows it. 😉

Just let Sash know what you decide to go with.

That’s actually a great point, I hadn't thought about using a C instead. 😁 Would "Caplja" be allowed then? I’d love to finally get rid of my birth year in the handle. 😁 Everyone just calls me Caplja anyway on the cycling subreddits where I’m mostly active. If not, I'll reach out to Sash regarding that approval from the previous post. Thanks.
There’s already some user named "caplja" who was last active back in '09, which has kind of messed up my planning... 😁

caplja is already taken.

I finally pulled the trigger yesterday and picked up that Topeak trunk from Ales, and honestly, it’s exactly what I was looking for. Now I can strap my bag and my jacket right on the back—it's incredibly stable—which means I can finally say goodbye to arriving at work drenched in sweat. Once I manage to dodge those cheap, rattling bike racks on the subway, life is going to be 😉

For those of you who actually have to look "professional" for a living, here is the perfect fix:

The way it mounts to the Topeak trunk is rock solid. It fits a 17.5" laptop easily, and based on the reviews I've been digging through online, you can cram quite a bit more in there alongside the computer—think notebooks, extra shirts, deodorant, stuff like that. It looks pretty sophisticated in my opinion. You can order it through Ales without any hassle, though the only real downside is that it’s sitting around $100 as far as I could tell.

So, I’ve been commuting to campus on my bike for about three weeks now. 3.1 miles Just for context, after this short stretch of time, I decided to ditch the backpack entirely and switch over to a rear rack setup instead. 😉 The main reason is that once you've been riding for 9.3 miles, the sweat from the bag leaves your back completely soaked; personally, I don't sweat all that much, but after these 3.1 miles sessions, my back is already starting to feel damp. Honestly, I can't even imagine what it would be like after 9.3 miles...

In my opinion, the way to go is a rack, then securing the bag to it using

At least until I can scrape together enough cash for some panniers. 😉

You can pick up some of that heavy-duty stretch wrap at a local Bike & Sport shop over in $13. It should hold the bag onto the rack reasonably well...

And don't even get me started on how that bag chafes your shoulders and underarms and everything else. It feels pretty impractical, especially when there's a laptop inside. I mean, I'm not entirely sure how safe it is to carry a laptop this way, the way I've described it. But investing in actual panniers would definitely pay off in the long run.

When you consider that a bag capable of holding all this stuff will set you back $60 or more, you could probably just buy both the panniers and the rack for that price anyway... 🙂
