I’m looking to change my username to Gary Wells3... mostly because it’s available. I checked the search tool and it matches what's out there. There's already another woman on here with the same handle, just with a period at the end. We both hang out in the same subforum, so it would just be easier if people could tell us apart...

I'll post on the women's lounge whenever I have a moment to unwind, chat, and catch up. I live outside the US, and apparently just mentioning that was enough to trigger a witch hunt against a few users here, with some baseless claims linking me to a banned user named ombia.
It started with chemik... long-winded and incredibly nasty. I didn't get it, so I spoke up, and Nica told me there had just been a misunderstanding.
From what I can gather, a handful of people here are claiming the person behind that banned handle is dangerous—someone who threatened users and jumped between multiple identities.
I don't care about any of that. Everyone has the internet these days. But what matters to me is being linked to that name. I have no idea how they made that connection, or why there's this constant harassment, tracking, and ad hominem attacks every time I leave a comment.
Beyond being uncomfortable, it feels reckless to tie me to someone who supposedly used this forum to cause actual harm.
That’s a heavy accusation. It's libel, and it carries legal weight.
Here is the latest specific instance involving the user South Africa: —starting from post 30.
Trying to defend yourself against people like this is a losing battle... similar tactics were used by aryna.
This isn't just a witch hunt. These are serious allegations.
Please, I need you to look into this.

Just out of nowhere, I'm being accused of being someone else's clone. No basis for it at all... just random accusations.
I guess because I used the term 'high end,' someone decided I had to be another user? Makes no sense.

When these kinds of lies come from a moderator, people start taking them as gospel. It’s not right.

Actually, switching from Luna to Lana is a big jump, not a tiny fix, even if it's just one letter. Then again, Lana is already taken anyway...

There are so many versions of Luna on this forum that changing my handle feels like a lost cause... Honestly, I kind of regret picking this nickname now...

We don't do suggestions here. Once you actually come up with something similar to what you have now, bring the finished idea to us. 🙂
