I went in for penicillin allergy testing. First, they inserted an IV, then set a crash cart right next to me just in case things went south. Next, they rubbed some powder—probably crushed pills—onto my forearm. Then came the oral doses: a quarter of a tablet, presumably Stephen, followed by a half an hour later, and then a full dose. Once they were sure I wasn't reacting, they moved to injections. One after another, lasting until the afternoon. Luckily, nothing happened, and I was cleared to head home by evening. Still, I’m staying far away from Stephen.

I'm 44. I went in for an exam because my anti-streptolysin titer stays consistently high. My blood pressure spikes occasionally too—usually just when I'm sitting there in the doctor's office.

EKG shows sinus rhythm at 86 bpm, left axis deviation, some IV conduction issues, S wave through V4, and nonspecific ST-segment changes. Currently on Concor Cor 2.5 mg. Should I be worried?

Does anyone have experience with referrals? My father-in-law used a referral from a local clinic over in Canada, specifically the Federation side, and he only had to pay the standard co-pay. It was the same rate for Americans without supplemental insurance in that exact situation. $1000

I'm not sure if this will actually help you, but here’s what happened with us: my father-in-law broke his hip last summer and had surgery at a hospital in St. Louis. He had insurance from Canada, but since we were in a different country, it didn't cover everything. He ended up paying $1000 out of pocket.

I just had my CBC done yesterday, so I won't have the actual white cell count until Monday. Usually, it sits somewhere between 11 and 12. My immunologist requested a blood smear, but I don't see them until the end of the month.

I just got my peripheral blood smear results back, but since there aren't any reference ranges provided, I'm a bit lost. Does anyone know how to interpret these?
