Zuti, I honestly don't know what kind of "tough" sanctions you think would work for you if these aren't enough. I can't recall a single time in modern history where a nation faced more crushing sanctions than what's being slapped on Russia right now. You could shut down that one pipeline and call it a real game over—or go the route some Ukrainians are pushing by demanding a total internet blackout—but man, that would set a terrifying precedent...
You guys are out here begging for even harsher penalties while completely ignoring the fact that you're standing on the exact same edge. All these sanctions are going to boomerang back and hit us too, just in different ways sooner or later. So, you better watch what you wish for...
Signed by Fury. Milance's statements sound exactly like he's on their payroll—which probably implies they funded his presidential campaign too, making him almost certainly their player.
No European president would ever spout such bullshit. You only say stuff like that if someone is paying you off.

There are several potential explanations for this standstill, and it’s entirely possible that multiple factors are at play simultaneously.
@danlamothe
Half those vehicles probably got trashed before they even hit Kyiv... 🤣
Look, however you slice it, I'm against collective punishment. Picking on people based on their nationality just to mess with them because they're Russian—there's zero logic in that... If the government hits them with sanctions and, more importantly, cuts off the funding for their war machine, that's plenty.
Some of you guys here would probably enjoy seeing Russians literally starve. You don't even realize that thinking like that makes you just as bad as the people you're fighting against.

On my recent trips through the Czech Republic and Germany, the anti-Putin vibe was everywhere—you couldn't walk through Prague without seeing Ukrainian flags plastered all over the place. I just really hope there's someone inside Russia ready to step up and put an end to this, because what he's doing is straight-up disgusting.
At least 30% of the crowd on "World News" and general politics forums are pushing for Putin and the Russians. Just go check the comments on Mexican news sites and you'll see it's easily 70-80% pro-Russia—or at the very least, they're making excuses for the Russian aggression.
I honestly don't get how people can be this blinded—especially nowadays—but clearly, this kind of anomaly exists...
I’ve got a good buddy from Germany who headed off to fight—couldn't fly straight into Ukraine, so he tried sneaking in through Canada to make it to his hometown in Mariupol. He’s been traveling for three days now, but he hasn't made it yet.
A few hours ago, he shoots me a message: "Things aren't looking great. Haven't reached 6.2 miles. The Russians stopped and turned us back. So many houses in my town are just gone. Today, the house next to my parents—my dad's car—got bombed. I retreated to the nearest regional hub, Zaporizhzhia, and I'm staying here. Tomorrow, the three of us are heading to the military recruitment office." 😢
When he said "The Russians stopped and turned us back," I took it to mean they intercepted him and forced him out—basically wouldn't let him enter the city at all.
There are two others out there too (from Lviv and Rivne), but he's the one I'm most worried about. Man, I just hope he keeps his head on straight...
William Anderson5 said:I can't find the specific article, but I caught something on Bloomberg suggesting Chinese banks are tightening up on business financing in Russia just to make sure they don't accidentally get caught in the crosshairs of sanctions.
Makes sense. The Chinese don't give a damn about the Russians—they're looking out for their own skin, especially now that the whole world is gunning for Russia. Honestly, who actually benefits from all this uncertainty and war?...
I don't know if it's just rumors flying around—but Orban said he's actually going to back all the sanctions against Russia. Honestly, closing off the Bosphorus would be a massive blow to Putin. And who knows? The Chinese might just toss him under the bus sooner or later. Cutting off Russian banks from SWIFT would basically be checkmate for him.
He totally walked himself right into this mess for no reason at all... 🤦

By the way, the Chechens are just steamrolling everything in their path. From the photos, it looks like they’ve seen enough combat to know exactly what they're doing—they aren't some green rookies after 20 years of this...
If those politicians in Ukraine actually gave a damn about their people instead of just saving their own skin, they’d have ordered the white flag hours ago. They're surrounded on three sides and clearly running out of food supplies.
Yeah, right—better ask you! People fight for their freedom, and only cowards go reaching for the white flag...

As for that Messi vs Getafe goal, sure, it might be a 100% identical replica of Maradona's, but let's get real here: Maradona's goal happened during the World Cup in what I think was the quarterfinal against England, whereas Messi's goal was just one of 38 matches in La Liga against some underdog. The actual result of that game barely mattered for the league title, so honestly, Messi's goal doesn't even come close to being on the same level as Maradona's.
You have to look at the whole picture—who scored it, where, how, the style, the opponent, and the stakes involved. When you weigh all that, only Maradona's goal hits every single mark. If you asked anyone off the top of their head, without overthinking it, to name a goal that was simultaneously more beautiful AND more important than Maradona's, I couldn't tell you a single one.
That goal is number one of all time for me, because I truly cannot think of a goal that was both more stunning and more significant than that magical summer of 1986 during the World Cup in Mexico, when Maradona took on England in the quarterfinals on Argentina's path to becoming world champions.
If we’re playing by those rules, then Götze's deciding goal just four minutes before the whistle is way more important than Maradona's. It happened right at the death and was the literal clincher in the World Cup final. Plus, the technique and execution were pure perfection—and he even came off the bench to do it.
I have no clue what logic would put Maradona's goal above Götze's?
Man, I still remember this massive debate back in my philosophy class about whether God even exists... maybe fifteen years ago now? I can't for the life of me recall who was actually arguing, but man, they were really going at it—it was intense...

🍿
Radoslav Dodig, obviously. Unlike those other guys who just rely on a memory card—total hacks—Dodig actually uses his brain...
Charles Roberts33 said:Since we’ve already started the flood of polls... which historical leader would you consider the GOAT? Who do you respect the most? 🤔
Personally, I find myself leaning toward Alexander II. 😉
Otto von Bismarck is definitely the GOAT. Dude won every single war he fought—totally nailed everything he wanted for the empire.
Has anyone actually watched "The Letter for The King" on Netflix?
It’s basically a watered-down version of a classic—made for kids. Look, there are some decent Panorama vibes and even a few lucid moments here and there, plus the Characters themselves are actually pretty solid. But the core issue? The plot is paper-thin and just totally unconvincing... plus, the whole thing is aimed at children.
Overall, it's watchable—kids will probably absolutely love it.
Just started watching Freud and so far, it’s not bad. The portrayal is spot on, even if the mystical stuff feels a bit hit-or-miss... and Freud himself feels authentic. It's great how they're sticking to the actual facts of his life, at least through the first three episodes.
Joseph Clark37 said:Jokes aside, the worst group of people right now—especially when we all need to maintain distance—are parents letting their kids run around outside, constantly bothering others and buzzing around like flies. Instead of teaching their children how to behave properly during this period, they honestly couldn't care less. Not everyone is like that, but I've seen far too many examples. Regarding those construction workers you mentioned... there are plenty of them out there. Just ignorant, stubborn people who refuse to listen to reason.
P. S. Larry Fox5? How is your dog handling this crisis now that he can't go to restaurants anymore? 🕺
Man, I’ve completely lost my mind... Woke up this morning, headed out the door, and realized my car was just gone. Called the FBI to report the theft... what a disaster... So I drag myself all the way to the police station—after an hour of dealing with their paperwork and nonsense—only to realize I left the damn thing somewhere else yesterday... so I just walked all the way back home empty-handed...
So now some cop is telling me they haven't had any car thefts in years—which is totally sketchy—because apparently all the new cars have GPS tracking and remote locks built in... what a joke...
