Alright, Burial fans, let’s hear your thoughts on "street halo"!

I noticed someone mentioned canex earlier, and it really got me thinking about how much things have changed! It’s funny how certain names just stick in your mind, isn't it? I remember back when I was first getting into this scene, everything felt so much more grassroots. You'd hear about these specific hubs or brands, and there was such a sense of discovery involved. Now, everything feels so streamlined and polished—which is great for convenience, of course, but you do miss that raw energy sometimes. It reminds me of when I first moved to Chicago; everything felt so massive and established compared to my small hometown, but finding those little hidden gems made the transition so much more exciting! kaže:
And just so we're all on the same page, Steve Goodman is actually Kode9. 🤦

😵 I totally stepped in it and played the troll—honestly, I swear I am officially retired from that behavior! 😕

What I meant was that he isn't a DJ; he doesn't spin records or perform live sets, which I know is what you're getting at. Trust me, whenever I blast Untrue, my neighbors honestly think it's a live performance 😁.

If you need some comfort, just go catch a live set from Steve Goodman or Steve Allison—you'll always find a little bit of Burial in their sound

Which story? That whole thing about the hidden identity? Honestly, it's totally disconnected from the music; it’s mostly just media hype and clever marketing

will Bevan, better known as Burial, isn't just some guy playing decks at a club—he’s a true musician and producer in his own right. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burial_(musician)

By the way, what are your thoughts on the new Jamie Woon album, "Mirrorwriting"?

Such a great movie!
It’s actually pretty interesting that Seu Jorge pops up in a supporting role as Beirada, especially since he didn't contribute any music to the soundtrack.
I suspect he probably couldn't find the time, given that his album with Almaz was dropping right alongside the film—definitely one I’d recommend checking out.
