Patrick Martin said:This is basically a textbook example of where corruption leads. Honestly, the movie is 👍 for me—I think both the first and second parts hit different in their own way. It’s pretty obvious those folks in Brazil don't just kill it on the soccer field and dance samba; they make some seriously killer movies too.
I'd say this movie has real export potential.🤷
I haven't met a single Brazilc who actually enjoys this flick (either one),
most of my friends belong to that upper-middle class bracket—to them, life in the slums isn't exactly riveting; they act like those neighborhoods exist in some different country altogether.🤷
I found Brazil beautiful, yet incredibly sketchy—you couldn't walk alone or even hold a camera without looking over your shoulder. Personally, I prefer India.
It's much more impoverished, sure, but people actually respect foreigners—tourists, even. Their faith keeps them from mugging people in the street for cash, jewelry, or cameras.
