Look, he’s got every right to leave wherever he wants. If the future club won't cough up his severance and our guys won't release his paperwork without seeing some cash first, then fine—let him pay out of his own pocket.

Then he can hold a press conference, flash the receipt showing he paid his way out, and walk away with his head held high if he actually cares that much about his reputation.
That should have been his move the second they denied his claim.

$100,000 isn't pocket change; you're only getting that kind of money from a major corporation. But you have to realize that these big players handle their budgeting through strict annual planning. These sponsorships are mapped out once a year; you can't just walk up and demand them whenever you feel like it. Major corporations are organized, not chaotic.

He should just go to Ljubljana Bank, take out a loan, pay the settlement, and then beat it back to Canada.
