So I caught this one the other day
The excitement is just endless
I thought the movie was solid... the plot was engaging enough—tense in all the right ways, at least for my taste...
There was even one scene that was acted so perfectly, I actually found myself laughing out loud...
Totally my kind of thing

Basal body temperature only starts rising AFTER ovulation has already happened. So, by the time you see that jump, ovulation has likely already passed, meaning you're entering your infertile window. That said, it’s probably most reliable to keep tracking after that first spike, since it takes about three consecutive high temperatures to confirm ovulation occurred (which is how the charts on Fertility apps typically log it).
In any case, regarding the OP's questions about fertile versus infertile days, I’d suggest she spend some time looking through the Fertility resources online; it would probably make everything much clearer.
...my bad 😍 I only meant to mention the method itself, but here I am, being an idiot and trying to explain something I've never even experienced firsthand 😬 ... my apologies...😁
Peter Doyle2... thanks for the correction, respect 👍

Going for an exam before 7 weeks is just too early.
...honestly Ivy, thanks for confirming the exact thing that's been eating at me... that's what I'll end up doing. It's not like I have a problem driving down to the Mayo Clinic every single week, but what's the point if I'm just paying for the same scan twice? And we both know those co-pays aren't cheap... 😉
...still, it’s such a nerve-wracking situation... 😁

So, I have a bit of a question, and I could really use some clarity on this... since I can never quite figure out how to accurately calculate my fertile window—you know, those specific days when pregnancy is actually possible...
I see one thing online saying it’s just a single day in the entire month, while somewhere else it says it's five days before and after that peak day... honestly, it’s always been such a confusing mess for me to wrap my head around...🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷
Hi back to you... look, here is a link where you can get a rough estimate of when ovulation happens... I don't think it's 100% foolproof, but it'll give you a ballpark idea...
http://www.mayoclinic.org/ovulation-tracking...there is also that whole thing with tracking your basal body temperature and keeping a chart... basically, you take your temp every single morning from the start of your cycle and log it... (once you hit ovulation, your temp should jump up from its lowest point)... you'd have to do this for a few months—which might be too long for some people ☕—and then you can look at the graph to see when your temp peaks, which signals ovulation...😁
...plus, there are ovulation predictor kits, and then there's Maybe Baby, or even those little microscopes where you can check your saliva to spot the fertile window... they go for about $30 or so...
...that's pretty much my area of expertise... 😍...otherwise, I wouldn't even know what I was talking about...

If I were in your shoes, I’d probably just mention to the grandparents that you think you might be pregnant and that you're waiting on confirmation from the doctor😬 in a casual way... though personally, I would definitely head straight to the clinic to get my bloodwork done as soon as possible.😍
...thanks... 😁
...but I really don't want to rush to the doctor yet because you can't even see the gestational sac until about a week after your period is late... and you won't even hear a heartbeat until maybe 6 or 7 weeks...
...I'm not sure if I mentioned this already, but my cycle is anywhere from 30 to 34 days (which is a nightmare!) so that means I shouldn't even expect my period for another week or two... my ovulation happened way before the middle of my cycle, and now the test is showing positive... thank God!!! Now, I just need it to actually stick until at least a week "after" when my period was supposed to show up (and then finally go meet the little secret 😉) ...and only then will I make an appointment... what would the doctor even show me on an ultrasound if I went in right now? 🤷
...honestly, after spending way too much time sniffing around various websites and forums, I figured the smartest move for now would be to just stay calm and wait until that week after my missed period passes... 😕
...but there is some truth to what you said, even if it's just going in for the blood test... that might actually be a smart call... but who knows, I'm just lost at sea here... I guess it's pretty obvious that this is the first positive test I've ever seen in my life... 😁
Steven Gonzalez9 said:Congratulations! Just take a breath, calm down, and try to enjoy this. Unless you have severe pain or bleeding, there is no reason to rush to the doctor right this second. They won't be able to see anything clearly until you're about three weeks after your missed period (which is roughly 7 weeks pregnant, since they count from the first day of your last period), so there's no real rush. Just give them a call and schedule an appointment.
Thank you so much!!! ... You’re actually only the second person in the whole world to congratulate me... besides my best friend... Honestly, the hardest part is that I haven't even dared to tell my parents yet—and we both know nobody would be more thrilled than them once they find out... but I'm just a little terrified that something might go wrong. It’s still such early stages, and I don't want them to have to deal with any heartbreak if, God forbid, reality hits me with a setback...
...so, as happy as I am about this big positive result, it’s pure agony being at my mom's house every day and not telling her she’s going to be a grandma... though my husband and I made a plan. We aren't visiting the in-laws until after New Year's, but I'll take another test the day before Christmas—hoping for another positive, of course—and then we'll share the news with everyone during the holidays... or is that pushing it too far? ...maybe waiting until after the OB-GYN appointment is the smarter move?
Ladies, I am actually going to lose my mind!!!
...after what felt like an endless, exhausting marathon of "negotiations," my husband and I finally had our first unprotected encounter two weeks ago... then about a week later, I started running to the bathroom every five minutes just to pee three drops, my appetite went totally haywire—I’ve been eating like there’s no tomorrow—and lately, I’ve been checking my temperature constantly, and it’s consistently sitting at a weirdly high 99.5 F... so naturally, I started spiraling. On top of all that, the day before yesterday, I started getting these intense pains—sometimes on the left, sometimes on the right—and trust me, my usual period cramps don't feel anything like this... honestly, with everything happening, I was convinced I might be pregnant, but I figured I couldn't even take a test for another 4 or 5 days. Well, I went out this morning and grabbed a Clearblue, and wouldn't you know it... the + came back as an 8) ... so I did another one, just to be absolutely certain, using a Grainger test, and it showed a faint, but definitely visible, line!!! So, I AM PREGNANT!!! I need to get to my OBGYN immediately!!!
...sorry for the massive vent, I just really needed to share this with someone other than my husband, and I've heard it's not wise to tell anyone we know until we're at least 6 or 7 weeks along, and I'm not even at week 2 yet!!!
Ugh, now I'm just freaking out about the whole situation!!! I just hope this little plus sign sticks... hopefully my husband did his job right!!! 😁
