You can certainly say "why not" if you've fully accepted that the other person is only looking for something physical. If you’re secretly hoping for something deeper, you might end up wasting years chasing a fantasy, much like the author did.

Do I need to comply with specific regulations regarding invoice formats, or is there more to it? Also, what happens once I start accepting credit cards? Since card payments are treated similarly to cash transactions, how does that change things?

The issue is still happening: I launched the program normally, finished my task, but now when I try to restart it, XP mode just won't boot up at all. Do I actually need to install some kind of antivirus specifically for the virtual machine?

Whenever I try running this in compatibility mode for XP, I just get a pop-up stating the program was originally designed for Windows 98, 2000, XP, or NT.

Thanks for the tip! It turns out the issue was a compatibility conflict; the software was specifically built for much older versions of Windows. For context, it’s actually a specialized textile design program. Anyway, I'm currently hunting around for a more recent version.
