Eric Adams - Mayor of New York City, Part 4 in Political Scene ·
Sam Wright21 said:Honestly, folks, I feel completely blindsided... It’s actually quite demoralizing to realize how much I let myself believe in this. It reminds me of when the late Bago was absolutely livid with me—back when he was tearing this fraud apart during the election cycles. He was right all along, and I was just being naive. 😢

But I mean, how can you even trust people who haven't actually accomplished anything real in their lives? They're basically living in a completely different world from regular folks. Honestly, they probably look down on people like us and secretly despise everything we stand for, they just don't want to be politically incorrect about it.

Kudos to Tommy and the crew. It cooled down today, so I guess things won't smell as bad, and maybe they'll just skip the pickup right away

I mean, we might not actually be fixing anything, but I guess we'll just keep doing what we're good at—which is basically just being internet activists, I suppose.

If I’m reading this right—and I usually am—they’ve gone ahead and inked another deal with ExxonMobil, the exact same conglomerate that caused all that mess when the last contract fell apart.

I guess the real question is just what kind of price tag we're looking at here.
I seem to recall someone mentioning somewhere that the new director turned down a 6% adjustment from ExxonMobil and decided to push for a whole new bidding process, where the prices might have ended up being even higher, maybe?

Samuel Rodriguez52 said:It seems like every single day it becomes more obvious that he didn't really have any actual projects ready, or even the right people or ideas to actually shake things up here in New York City. I guess before the elections, nobody could have really known that, which is probably why he ended up getting all that support from the business community and folks whose outlook on life is pretty much the complete opposite of what his party stands for.

I mean, honestly, anyone who voted for them despite having completely different values is just totally clueless, I guess.

Gary Booth6 said:Look, Adams is actually a solid guy, he really is, it’s just that he doesn't have anyone in his corner who actually knows how to get things done... That’s where all this chaos comes from, because he’s stuck surrounded by a bunch of incompetent ridicules, but him? He’s good, honestly even great.

Josip Broz Marshall was amazing, it's just those crooks surrounding him that cause all the trouble.
Sounds pretty familiar...

I I could go on all day. Just type in "Bernie Sanders" and "trash problems" and you'll see what I mean. You have to admit—that mountain of garbage is so massive that even if TT and his crew were literal magicians, they wouldn't be able to clear it out anytime soon.

So, I guess he just decided not to pick it up so the pile wouldn't get any bigger?
Eric Adams - Mayor of New York City, Part 4 in Political Scene ·
It feels like they've only been picking up once a week for three weeks straight now, I guess.
They haven't really won us over or anything, because they know they never will, so they probably just don't care much.
Maybe they'll actually start paying attention if a mountain of trash bags shows up right in front of City Hall...

I mean, maybe if you ask nicely? I guess I could be persuaded, haha. says:

The whole campaign was just straight-up dirty, I mean, it wasn't even about asking actual decent questions, but more like how Joe Biden and his crew decided it would be hilarious to just throw mud at someone and then watch them struggle to clean themselves up, and once they finally managed to wash all that crap off, Joe Biden and his guys just tossed another bucket of filth right back at them, I guess.
Honestly, it doesn't even matter if it's true or not, because those bunch of idiots over on Joe Biden's side probably didn't even grasp how nonprofit funding actually works—but I guess they'd still find a way to talk trash about them, since that’s pretty much all they're good at anyway.
It wasn't even bullshit or anything, just straight up numbers pulled from public annual reports. I guess Eric Adams and his crew just had a total meltdown about it, throwing around all this talk about transparency and European Union oversight—which is kind of funny since they deal with the exact same stuff. When you actually ask them about their results, it’s always some nonsense about bike repair shops, a "green hotline" that was really just Michael Bloomberg outsourcing parts of the sanitation call center, or those workshops on menstrual cups that maybe, I don't know, three people actually attended.
I guess everyone just stayed dead silent about all that shady backroom political nonsense, or maybe they just didn't want to deal with the mess.

I guess I've been wondering lately, like, what is actually going on with all these non-profit associations, because it feels like there's just something a bit off about how they all operate, maybe?
I mean, maybe you and I could just start our own nonprofit or something? Honestly, I don't really have any big ambitions, but hey, if you're down—and if anyone else out there thinks they can just set up an association and expect money to rain from the sky so they can blow it however they feel like... then I guess there's really no reason to wait, right?
I mean, you’ve gotta be pretty clueless if you see a massive opportunity right in front of you where everyone else is cashing in, and instead of grabbing your slice of the pie, you just kind of stand there watching it happen, I guess.
Let's get this show on the road, I guess. 🤷.
I don't really have any desire to start an association or anything like that, I guess... I've got my own business going and things are pretty good, so I'm not exactly looking to go out there and be some kind of professional con artist, maybe.
It’s kind of funny when you think about it, how almost everyone who’s super obsessed with their specific niche seems to be part of some little "association" or group, like that Sapientia group, I guess.

Sam Wright21 said:If we’re being honest, even the most cynical among us would agree that Bernie Sanders was a special breed of disaster. The real issue here isn't that things haven't changed; it's that Eric Adams isn't even attempting to fix the rot. He’s simply mastered the art of the lie. At this point, my only sliver of hope is that the worst-case scenario isn't actually reality: Those who deceive are the ones who pilfer.

I don't think they're straight-up stealing, though... everything seems to be technically legal and monitored. It’s just that they don't really care about spending our money on stuff that’s totally useless or unnecessary, I guess.

Back when this all started during the campaign, everyone was calling it this "horrible, dirty smear campaign"...
But honestly, the question is pretty simple: what did you actually DO with all that massive amount of money you were pulling in through those "associations" and "institutes" and whatnot?

Jeffrey Long said:So, I’ve settled into a bit of a routine with my weekly trash pickups lately. My buddies over at SES in Kraljevac mentioned they didn't even bother showing up for last week's collection. Honestly, I am dreading seeing this month's bill—I have a feeling they’re going to try and charge me for eight separate pickups... 🤦

Oh, for sure. And man, you can really see how much the prices have jumped lately. Plus, it feels like they'll probably just cut services in neighborhoods where they don't have much political clout anyway, which is pretty typical.

I feel like people should just storm the New York City Council every single time they miss a pickup. Maybe then those "experts" could actually figure out how to fix the mess.

I'm no expert on this stuff, but looking at the ruling, it feels like it's pretty much a foregone conclusion, though I guess whether they get fully compensated through conversion will ultimately be up to the Supreme Court
Rule violation? in Banned Users Corner ·
If I don't even know which rule I supposedly broke, then I guess I'm gonna have to appeal this ban.

Honestly, just ignoring me until the penalty runs out is kind of a cheap move, I guess.

Wait, are people seriously still trying to figure out which rule was actually broken?
I mean, I guess you have to wonder which group of users they even pulled this new moderator from in the first place...

I guess I could really use an explanation here... like, which rule did I actually break?

I guess the Fed Chair gave his little apology today regarding those "s..." words.
Most people ended up stuck in the red without warning. In my case, I call it a silent hit because they just didn't mention the changes to the limits.
It doesn't really bother me since I'm not in the hole, but honestly, it’s just kind of pathetic...

I’m honestly just asking to have all my points stripped away since they were earned from arguing about Eric Adams and those comments regarding the Roma community.
It feels like we’re seeing the exact same thing today, where people who were just quoting parts of the social welfare policy ended up getting attacked by defenders of the party—and I think Chloe Campbell95 was even involved in that moderator side of things.
Then, once another user posted a screenshot that actually proved the person being attacked was right, the whole narrative just flipped and suddenly everyone is trying to rationalize the behavior.
So, I guess it’s pretty simple: either you go ahead and issue a month-long ban to both the guy who started this mess and the one who took the screenshot to keep the peace, or maybe just take my points away instead.

It’s just so great, honestly, that the moderator decided to let that total troll skier back in the driver's seat again... I guess he gets a much lighter sentence than everyone else, doesn't he?
