I’m out here hauling heavy bins up and down the street like an idiot every other day. Back when the Whistleblower was in charge—despite all the shady deals and graft—I never felt this headache.
So now I’m supposed to celebrate all this:
- NYC "saving money" even though nothing is getting cheaper for me
- cutting parent leave benefits while my taxes stay exactly the same
- less frequent grass cutting while everyone still pays full price for utilities
- less frequent trash pickup despite my bills not dropping one cent
- fewer subway trains even though the fare isn't any lower
Can someone please explain why we were so hyped about changing the administration? Because as a citizen, I’m stuck with worse, slower, more inefficient service for the same—or higher—price.
Dammit, just bring back the Whistleblowers and let them steal... at least the service was better back then. 🤷
