It's not even the main thing, though. The fact that someone uses people's suffering to convince them that a chemical which realistically can't help is enough to make it disgusting, even if they aren't making money off it.
People visiting the alternative treatment section are there for a reason. If what they're taking isn't harmful, then who are you to lecture them about it being a placebo and why that should matter?

Honestly, man, it's just gross. And stirring up global panic over a strain of flu that didn't kill anyone outside of Mexico, but only served to line the pockets of the Tamiflu manufacturers... it's disgusting. It's sickening that idiots in America were hoarding massive supplies of those pills at $67 per 10 tablets, especially considering that drug is supposed to be prescription-only.

That profit argument is a double-edged sword. Comparing drinking freaking bleach—which might only help you clear your bowels—to prescribing antibiotics for a viral sore throat is ridiculous.
That damn antibiotic you get the second you walk into a doctor's office is about as useful as MMS for HIV in 50% of cases.
