Look, peppers coming in from Spain or Turkey can end up with as many as 14 different pesticides on them. It’s a trick—they stack multiple chemicals so they don't technically break the legal limit for any single one.
We talk about progress, but I think food should be part of that. Instead, people today are eating worse junk than they were 400 years ago... where's the actual improvement? Mass-produced, nutrient-void garbage... and then everyone tries to fix the damage by popping pills. Big Pharma wins again. 😉
The only silver lining is the shift toward organic. It's pricier to produce, sure, but at least there's some oversight involved.
Whenever possible, I try to dodge the industrial stuff and actually eat something real for once. 😉
Rachel Brooks63 said:Oxygen is hands down the worst carcinogen out there. Didn't you know? That’s why you need all those heavy-duty antioxidants—Vitamin C, artichoke extract, whatever—just to shield yourself from oxygen's effects.
Right... obviously... which is exactly why overdoing it with extreme sports, or hitting the gym way too hard, isn't exactly recommended... since it ramps up oxygen demand and spikes free radicals, making the body age faster.
Slowing things down works the exact opposite way...

:klap: 😁
Either the woman is totally clueless, or she doesn't have the best opinion of your brother 😁 nothing personal Better if he goes to a different clinic next time 👍
So.. forget Amon Tobin... Herbert is pure avant-garde, always...
Jazzy, magical... I’d go if I were in the mood, but I'm not, so there.. his Bodily Functions is one of the most enchanting electro albums out there, incomparable to anything else.
So, head down to Kset and dance your hearts out to Bonnie & Clyde and for me too! 😉
And drop your impressions, pre-impressions, or whatever here!
Finally got around to watching the movie. The beginning is the best part—all that traveling. But those scenes where Che Guevara is supposed to be developing his worldview and undergoing this massive transformation? They didn't really hit the mark for me. Felt more like a documentary. Still, the two hours flew by pretty fast.
I heard the movie is actually pretty weak compared to the diary, which is loaded with all that melodrama about Che feeling this magical sense of invincibility... stuff like that.
Like how he was on Brijuni... asking Marshall for weapons, but Marshall basically told him, "Yeah, no, we don't really have any of that." Just three days later, the news in the US reported that America had shipped a huge batch of weapons to Muammar Gaddafi... I bet he wasn't exactly confused about what happened. 😁
Then there's the whole tactic of starting fires in multiple places... kind of what Osama does...
It makes you realize why the Americans wanted him gone. It was '67, the hippies were rising up, and they were terrified that Che might lead them into a revolution too.
Tyler Grant86 said:The girls are just sticking to the Danube Festival. They didn't decide to extend their stay in Europe like Liars did...
Well, you organized it nicely! 😁
Actually, there were plenty of other great names at that festival... Saul Williams, Ammon Tobin, and so on. Yeah.
Heheh, Kevin Chavez3, I actually got to see the Buzzcocks, 🙂 felt a bit like being back at SXSW... hehe. But all the songs sound the same live, so I didn't even recognize them when they played my favorite, "Ever Fallen in Love." Maybe they were just playing too fast? 😁 😕

Honestly, Che Guevara's whole vision wasn't actually a bad one. He wanted to build a world based on equality—closing that massive gap between the haves and the have-nots. But they stopped him. Who else would... Americans!!! And as for Castro, I don't think he was ever truly consistent with those original Che ideas to begin with.
Maybe I should start digging a little deeper into this...
You should have pulled yourself together... from the chair, the floor, whatever... just get it together.
I haven't caught the movie yet since they're only showing it dubbed, and I'm not really feeling that. Is anyone else seeing it in Chicago for a while longer?
