Hey there. My doctor says there’s nothing to worry about. It could be due to exercise, overexertion, or just a fluke of circumstances. I haven't really been consuming much sugar, so it's possible I was in ketosis. Basically, he said it would only be serious if other values were off, but everything looks fine. Vitamin B12 is slightly above the upper limit, and triglycerides are a bit low, though he mentioned that's actually a good thing.

What does it mean when a urine test comes back positive for acetone? Could this be linked to diet, or is it something to worry about? Also, the urine sediment shows a high amount of bacteria, though all other values look fine.

Iron levels are at 13.9. This falls within the standard range of 26 to 59. Everything looks good.

The ESR reading came back at 3 mm/hr, which falls comfortably within the normal range of 4 to 24. Everything looks perfectly fine here.
Urea levels at 367 mg/dL. The reference range is 134–337 mg/dL. This is slightly elevated.

My level is currently at 339. That’s only a very slight elevation since the normal limit is 337. I am not sure if this has any connection to taking Ethambutol over the last month.

Should you be concerned if your urate levels are high? Also, what are the best ways to bring them down?

Thanks so much for all the information. So, basically, a patient can't just refuse antibiotics without facing legal consequences? I know treatment is vital and necessary, but I was just wondering if there's actually any room for choice at all.

In that case, getting back to work really depends on the doctor's call. I'm just not sure how feasible that is in practice if they still test positive after two months of therapy.

Also, sorry if I rambled. The topic of TB is quite old news, but we needed this info urgently and couldn't find anything reliable online.

He received his TB vaccine as a child, but from what I’ve read, adults can still contract it since the shot isn't 100% effective. The pulmonologist found some minor shadows at the top of his left lung and ordered a full battery of tests just to rule everything out. I'm wondering what happens if the results come back positive. Is he allowed to work? Can he take antibiotics? Initially, we were told treatment might be manageable from home, but my research suggests a six-month regimen. Since he isn't showing any symptoms, they suspect it's likely just the latent form.
