Urgent: Need some advice ASAP! in Psychology ·
I mean, I guess you're just gonna go around identifying yourself to everyone else, so I suppose that goes for this crowd too.
You're just imagining things, I guess.
That's my take on it, anyway. I guess.
How are you even supposed to know if someone is in pain? Like, whether it’s a person with a disability or just anyone else for that matter—how can you actually tell? I mean, I guess there isn't some magic way to look inside someone's head, right? It feels like such a loaded question, honestly. Maybe it's about the cues they give off, or maybe it's just pure guesswork, but I don't know. It’s complicated.
You’re just making things up. I mean, honestly, you're totally imagining stuff at this point.
Can I take Praxiten and Sanval together? in Psychology ·
cosmicowl50 said:I usually just stick to chamomile tea when my stomach is acting up😉.
If I actually want to get some sleep, though, I need a pill.
And let's be clear: these aren't candy. You don't take them because you're having fun; you take them because you have to.

But I guess, is it really that simple? Look, I don't want to sound condescending or anything, I really don't, but I just don't quite get it—aside from, obviously, heavy-duty stuff like antipsychotics for schizophrenia or severe psychosis where there's absolutely no other choice.
But for people who are right on the edge or just slightly under, aren't they basically just doing themselves long-term damage by relying on meds?

Do you guys seriously have to be on those pills?
I was taking some kind of beta-blocker for about ten days—not because I was having a mental breakdown or anything, but I had surgery and my surgeon prescribed it just to stabilize my heart rate and keep my stress levels down.
Honestly, I’m not a fan of the whole thing.
Back when I was going through a massive life crisis, a psychiatrist actually put me on some heavy-duty anxiety meds. I ended up not taking them, though, because I stumbled upon this study by a group of supposedly independent doctors... basically, they argued that these drugs permanently mess with your brain chemistry. My doctor actually agreed with that take, so I passed on them.
But from what I understand, those things don't even kick in for at least ten days, and they work totally differently than the stuff I took for my heart.
Thoughts on weed? in Philosophy ·
It’s totally possible that it’s just some amateurish crap, at least when you first get into it...

And honestly, I feel like weed has this really weird, interesting effect on people. I think everyone should probably try it once, just sitting there alone with their own thoughts. For me, it helps—it opens up all these deep questions, and sometimes it actually brings answers to stuff I haven't thought about in years, I guess.
Like that Don Juan guy used to say, "you’ve got to keep pushing that boundary of consciousness forward" as much as possible.
