How do I use Multi-Quote? in Forum Help! ·
jadedrifter2 said:Thanks, that actually made writing this a little less stressful... though my actual problem hasn't really changed. When I hit that quote button in the bottom right corner, the editor just pulls in the specific person I'm replying to—it doesn't include whatever they were originally quoting. So, the big question is: how do I grab both parts? Am I stuck manually hunting down the original message and pasting it into my own post myself, or is there a better way?

To make it simpler (I feel like I'm doing math homework at this point) 😁

Let's say Mike said something... then John quoted him... I want my reply to show John's entire post, including Mike's original words. Is that possible? And if it is, how do I pull it off?

That's the one.

Eric Fox7 said:Just click that little arrow on his post—you know, the one by marijevog—and it’ll jump you right there. Then just hit the multi-quote button, head back over to lukin's post, and hit quote.

It's working! It's working!

jadedrifter2 said:Man, you’ve completely lost me here 😕 what arrow are you even talking about? Every time I pull up a post, all I see in the bottom right corner are those three buttons—quote, multi-quote, and quick reply—but I'm definitely not seeing any arrows...

unknown 😁

If you're saying upgrading to the HD 7770 isn't even worth the money, then I'm out.

Got a GeForce GTX 660 as a Christmas gift. Thinking about offloading it to grab a 7870 Hawk instead? Looking at the benchmarks side-by-side... I've heard Intel improved their drivers lately so things run smoother. Think NVIDIA will actually step up their game?

Or if I go with the 7870 Hawk, am I just chasing a phantom upgrade?

I’m with Osmanko on this one. You might be able to run upcoming titles, but you’ll definitely have to dial back the resolution and settings just to scrape together 30 fps.

The issue with brands like Palit is the mediocre cooling and shorter warranties.

My bad, I meant online stores. Obviously, walking into a Best Buy in person is always going to cost you more... standard practice.

Those are wholesale prices. Retail prices at Best Buy are always going to be $20 or more higher.

The absolute best option is the MSI Twin Frozr III version of the gtx 660 non, though you'll be shelling out upwards of $1,900 for it.$667

shadowhawk91 said:Hey everyone, I haven't played games on a PC in ages, so I recently started putting together a rig for music production. To kill some time, I want to grab the best used graphics card I can find for under 400 bucks— $167 something that can actually handle modern titles?
Here’s my setup:

PSU: Inter-Tech SL-500 500W
Motherboard: Asus P8H67-M Pro
CPU: Intel Core I5 2400 (quad Core 3.1/3.4 GHz)
RAM: 2x Kingmax 4GB DDR3 1333 MHz (8GB)

I'm planning on picking up a small SSD soon, but the GPU is the priority right now.
If I've got this right, the best bet is an XFX AMD Radeon HD 7750 with 1GB DDR5, or am I totally off base?
P.S. Any advice on a budget-friendly used power supply that won't choke this build?

GPU: Ati 7770 oc edition 🙂 adds $367 , top-tier card, great cooling, and incredibly low power draw. As for the PSU, honestly, looking at what's out there, you won't find much quality unless you hunt hard. Most stuff looks like junk, so if you can, just grab a decent unit from a local big-box retailer. http://www.amazon.com/s?k=xfx+450 That should be more than enough for you.
EDIT: Here's a link for the GPU too http://www.amazon.com/s?k=7770+oc

The cheapest GTX 660 out there? $550 The 2000 is easily the superior choice. If they're sitting in the same price bracket, the 7870 outperforms it in games by about 5-10% and handles overclocking much better. Honestly, I don't even know what else to say.

The GTX 660 Ti is being compared to the 7950. And that link you sent? It shows the exact same cards again—the gtx 660 and the 7870.

This comparison uses the old ATI driver.
http://www.pcper.com/reviews/Graphic.../Battlefield-3
And this one features the new ATI driver.
The 7870 handles overclocking better than Nvidia, and like I said,
the 7850 and GTX 660 end up in the same ballpark once they're maxed out.

I'm still sticking by those videos.🙂

The 660 isn't even in the same league as the 7870, and if you need proof, I've got plenty.

Oh yeah? Prove it then.

A buddy of mine just picked up a Sapphire HD 7770, pretty much the same one I have. It’s only three months old, and he's looking to offload it for $267 ☕
.
My question is: is that card actually worth the cash? He wants to run it in ATI CrossFire on a single motherboard.

Is it even worth dropping decent money on experiments like that? We all know the overheating issues can be a nightmare. 😕

Personally, I’m not a fan of SLI or CrossFire. In some games, you barely see any benefit—maybe an extra 10-15 fps, which is underwhelming. For me, it’s better to just drop a hundred bucks on a single, better card and call it a day. That's just my take.

I checked it out too. Absolutely useless site. The only thing worth looking at is the max TDP rating for the cards...

Got a new MSI GTX 660 TwinFrozr III for Christmas, and apparently everyone thinks the $667 Radeon HD 7870 is the superior buy. I did a bit of digging on AnandTech and honestly, the difference seems negligible—the 660 actually edges out the 7870 in certain titles, while the other takes the lead in others.

I wouldn't mind selling this to grab a 7870 since that’s the consensus recommendation, but is it even worth the hassle if the performance is basically a wash? Any advice? Thanks.
