I don't really get why people are picking fights over how to watch football—and especially why they're getting insulting about it.
To me, Stam was never a classy player—not back when he was at Manchester United and certainly not by today's standards. I mean, credit where it's due, the guy knows how to play, but he’s slow and just plain brutal...

Honestly, I don't follow soccer at all—you're basically the only person on the planet who follows it this closely. You deserve a medal for that, seriously.🙄

I wasn't trying to be offensive; it just strikes me as weird that anyone other than Blažićka would call Stam a total tank. To me, he's great!

I can see you're not exactly a fan of Stam,
and hey, if you don't like him, that's fine—but just because you dislike him doesn't prove he's a bad player!

Charles Barkley and Terry might be the top defensive duo in England right now—but that can change in a heartbeat. You can't just have one decent season and suddenly claim you're "world-class." I mean, look at Ivica Obradovic; he had a pretty solid run over in Birmingham too. 😁

Charles Barkley played a handful of great games at the end of the season and was decent otherwise. If you ask me, he's only getting picked because people like his personality, not necessarily because he's the best player out there. At least, that's how it looks from where I'm sitting.

Look, I respect José Mourinho (even if I don't particularly like him),

but my absolute favorite is Frank Rijkaard. The guy has the guts to always play attacking football; he loves beautiful, attractive play and isn't arrogant about it. He puts so much emphasis on the attack—their defense always seems a bit leaky, sitting about 35 yards out from the keeper when they're pushing forward.
Even when he was leading the national team, they played beautifully (like that Netherlands vs. America match, 6-0).

What's the deal with Víctor Valdés? He wasn't exactly making life-saving saves in this match—but honestly, how many times has he pulled them out of thin air for the team this season?

They play well—really beautiful, attacking football, which I definitely appreciate—but their biggest issue is just how thin the roster is right now.

That was a pretty depressing game to watch.

Ronaldinho is absolutely killing it at FC Barcelona right now—just incredible to watch. Plus, you've got Samuel Eto'o and Rafael Márquez playing solid games too.

At Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo is clearly the top dog—then you've got Iker Casillas & Thomas Gravesen and David Beckham following behind. Michael Owen and Zizi are pretty decent, too.

The ref was totally one-sided—he completely missed a blatant penalty caused by Roberto Carlos when...
He went in hard on Maxi López's legs—and honestly, that sliding tackle on Ronaldinho right at the edge of the box? That was sketchy as hell. Plus, there were plenty of other fouls throughout the match that I can't even recall now.
