Alex Barnes93 said:Something I totally missed while watching the broadcast—and honestly, this was the absolute highlight of the race—was how Valtteri Bottas sat in the pits for 37 seconds only for them NOT to change all his tires before sending him back out 🙏 I mean, even Ferrari couldn't pull off a mess that bad 🙏

Check it out: https://streamable.com/1meknp

Man, they didn't even swap out a single 🤦 🤣 They take off the hards, slap on new mediums, then rip off the mediums and just shove those same used hards right back on 😂

E2: The craziest part of this whole circus is that neither Russell nor Bottas even needed to pit in the first place.

Ferrari can't even attempt anything like that because they don't have two drivers who are actually close enough to each other to make it work ☕🥱
Mods, seriously, do you guys even do anything at all? 😠

I mean, the whole thread is just one giant Lewis Hamilton fan club discussion, but since he wasn't even part of this race, there’s absolutely zero point in having that debate here, so why don't you move it somewhere else instead of letting it clutter up this topic?
Alex Barnes93 said:I mean, nobody actually said it was his entire earnings, but tracking sponsorships is a nightmare. If we're going by that logic, Kimi Räikkönen is easily the greatest driver ever because no sponsor pays more than what he pulls in. Even now, estimates for him were around 100 million bucks a year (well, back in 2018 and 2019, anyway).

You see Kimi everywhere on TV, in commercials, even popping up on major networks—he's out there promoting Alfa Romeo, some perfume, sunglasses, three different brands, you name it. He even shows up in ads during NBA games! I swear, I have never seen Lewis Hamilton on TV once.

The biggest market in the world is America, and if you ask a random American who Kimi is, most people would actually know him. For Lewis? Most Americans wouldn't have a clue unless they're die-hard Formula 1 fans. Though, honestly, most Americans are convinced the Daytona 500 is the oldest and most legendary race on the planet, but that's a whole other conversation...

He told you that overall, Lewis is the better driver, but that back in 2011, he wasn't better than Jenson Button. Because he straight up wasn't.

Just ask a random American about Fernando Alonso ☕

I wonder if he'd actually take a seat at Alpha Tauri if Kvyat moves on.

Kvyat is out, but we've got Yuki Tsunoda coming in. 😉
Oh yeah, the way Russell charms Bottas was absolutely legendary 🙏

I mean, seriously, what happened to poor Bottas was an absolute embarrassment of epic proportions. Especially after that SC call. It was painfully obvious that Russell was flying while Bottas was just struggling to keep up, and even though Russell seemed to be holding back a bit—probably because he didn't want to end up in a massive collision—it was still brutal. But honestly, the poor guy was so rattled and terrified that he ended up choking and making his own mistake, and once that happened, Russell just tore through the field while Bottas was stuck in the weeds fighting off Lance Stroll 😂
stormybadger8 said:Well, Perez isn't exactly "young blood"...
He's just slightly less old than Vettel...

Besides, Perez should have been at the top long ago...
And let's be real, he only got there because Hamilton, Alonso, and even Vettel weren't in this last race...

Add to that Max and Charles Leclerc being out, plus the German team absolutely screwing over George Russell, and there you have it.

Your precious little pirouette hasn't been seen all season long🤣
With Esteban Ocon's result, we’ve now got a full split of the top 14 in the overall standings.

Huge congrats to Sergio Perez, he absolutely earned that win. 👍

I mean, look at the run he's had—last weekend he misses out on a guaranteed podium because of a mechanical failure, then goes out and claims a podium doesn't even matter as long as Romain Grosjean is okay, and then at Imola, his podium gets snatched away by some questionable calls from the pit wall. Now, Charles Leclerc blows past him on the opening lap and drops him straight to the back, and he's basically tossing Alexander Albon around like a toddler, but somehow the luck finally swings in Sergio's favor and he pulls off the victory. 🙏

Honestly, I'm shocked he walked away from that without any issues, considering how nasty that hit looked.
Perez finally got his groove back. Honestly, about damn time.
Valtteri Bottas absolutely crushed it.
What on earth just happened with George Russell
vividlynx68 said:Good grief, did Sergio Perez actually take third? 🙏 🙏 🙏

Nope. He took first.
Trouble 🤣
Alex Barnes93 said:From season to season? Man, give me a break! This is only his second year in the seat and he’s actually driving way better than last time around. Plus, if you look at the stats, he’s outperforming his teammate in pretty much every major category.

Well, yeah, but let's not forget his teammate is literally the unluckiest driver on the grid this year. They're actually neck-and-neck in the standings.
For crying out loud, pass me a Budweiser!
Dana Murphy4 said:But man, how is Sergio driving lately? I guess watching him on track is just such a genuine pleasure

Alexander Albon is looking absolutely lifeless out there. It's painful to watch.
Five whole minutes of commercials on ABC 🤦
