Raymond Thomas5 said:If my memory serves me right, Kimi once actually stepped in to stop a mechanic from quitting while he was at McLaren or something along those lines.

Besides, how can you even compare him to Alonso's crew? Those guys have been bleeding for four years straight just to see him basically crown himself king every time he wins, and if he doesn't win, he just turns around and shamelessly trashes the whole team, complaining about this or that... Hint: total garbage.

Honestly, I don't think Kimi has any issues like that at all. In fact, I bet the rest of the garage is absolutely dying for him to come back to the Ferrari garage.

Kimi is just built that way; he acts like a total smartass on the outside, but behind closed doors, he's actually pretty much normal.

Actually, nowadays Kimi has more of an Alonso-style approach to racing.

I mean, Alonso is way more likely to piss off his mechanics by building up this massive cult of personality around himself, whereas Kimi would rather just test, give feedback on the car handling, shut up, and drive.

where Fernando basically worships himself after a win—it's easy to push a narrative when you're making up the facts.

Anthony Jackson2 said:Look, darkmarlin16, we can't keep going in circles like this. Honestly, just lock the thread if we're gonna keep acting like this.

I'm not kidding, 😉not even slightly,

this whole mess needs a real solution and I'm just sitting here waiting for someone actually in charge to step up and fix it once and for all.

Can someone please just purge these trolls from this place?

Instead of crawling back into whatever hole they came from, they’re out here trolling right on our doorstep.
Their opinions don't mean a single damn thing!!!

Ryan Vaughn7 said:darkmarlin16 basically sold you guys a lemon.

Yeah, exactly.
Why don't you try trolling a little yourself?
Sure, there are issues on the forums, but it’s not like the mods just ignore things when they need to step in.

The forums are constantly getting hit by trolls that Byron used to be able to shut down with one solid, logical post, but honestly, I haven't seen him have the energy for it lately because everything just gets drowned out by the nonsense.

Lock this thread.

Nope.

The problem is still wide open.

How old are you even? You're like five years old or something, so what, you gotta call your mom every single time something goes sideways? 🤷

Look, nobody’s actually forcing your hand to sit there and read or write anything on Example if it doesn't click with you, you know? It's totally up to you. 🤷

Look, there’s also the ignore button, which you can basically just aim at anyone who's getting on your nerves. Honestly, what's even the big deal? 🤷

Exactly, man. I’m just sitting here waiting for some high-quality posts from people like TJ, the UN, Blake, or the Professor... that's the kind of stuff I actually want to read.

I am definitely not interested in following some troll's example.

Look, Madridista was actually a super constructive guy to have around here, and even though he was a die-hard Real Madrid fan, I’ve got nothing but respect for him.

it was way too constructive for its own good. The fact that you can't tell the difference between someone trolling and just going off-topic is a whole different issue entirely. Right now, whether or not they punish off-topic posts on Example is basically just whatever the moderators decided to agree on behind closed doors.

nah, it isn't 🤣

that, that 🤣 🙏

Nica, are you even reading this? 🙏

Anthony Jackson2 said:honestly, we’ve basically got a solution ready to go in the form of some kind of workaround, we just need to iron out a few more details and then we can launch the whole topic out there. We’re just stuck right now trying to agree on what exactly we’re going to tolerate and how we should actually set everything up.

So why hasn't anyone even touched the thread specifically made for this then?
And why are you just ghosting all the private messages?
Also, why isn't trolling being punished yet?

The whole idea of disabling PDFs... Soccer is still miles ahead of that stuff. But hey, thanks for the offer, 👍

ha-ha

I’m pretty damn sure I’d be doing a way better job as a moderator than some of the current crowd, seriously. Having one decent moderator is infinitely better than having none at all. 🙂

Eric Fox7 said:Yeah. Honestly, darkmarlin16—who basically has half the people on this sports board on ignore anyway—is just doing it for the title.

Look, being a moderator is actually a massive job, and let's be real, most mods on sites like Example don't even do their jobs halfway right.

So why are you even trying to derail this thread?
Trolling on Example in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Eric Fox7 said:I was lurking on Example back when you were still sitting out on a permanent ban, so trust me, I know exactly how people talk over there.

Honestly, it’s just hilarious watching someone whine about something they’re literally doing themselves, just because it suddenly doesn't suit their mood right now.

Give me a break 🙂

It doesn't suit me because I actually give a damn about Example, and frankly, I don't give a single crap about hair gel, designer handbags, or whatever other mindless nonsense gets shoved into a thread meant for FOOTBALL.

So you claim to be all familiar with the way things are run, yet you aren't lifting a finger to fix any of it. 🙏 🙏 🙏
Can you seriously look at this and tell me it's okay, Nica?

Look, I’m volunteering for a mod position here. If you appoint me, you can just kick me to the curb whenever you feel like it.

Eric Fox7 said:Is calling a troll a troll actually trolling?
I wouldn't go that far, honestly.

Maybe try scrolling through the last few pages of this Example topic before you start spouting nonsense.🙄

I don't see any trolling on my end; if anything, I'm just trying to stay out of threads where people are actively nuking the whole conversation.
Trolling on Example in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Eric Fox7 said:Yeah.

What are you actually getting at here?

You think this is trolling?
I mean, sure, I get that, but let's be real—that was just one single post, whereas the people I just listed out over there are doing this kind of stuff non-stop and they aren't even getting slapped with a penalty for it.

It’s pretty much the same deal as this post of yours being trolling.

I'm basically begging Nica to step in and fix the state of American football once and for all.

The state of this Example topic has reached a total breaking point, honestly. It’s getting straight-up alarming. At this point, trolling isn't just an occasional thing; it’s become our daily routine, which is just pathetic. And if you want to talk about the absolute ringleader of this nonsense, look no further than darkmarlin16. brightpilot6And man, they are right on his heels, just breathing down his neck. Tore, Holger Badstuber, Patrick Martin, Eric Delko, Matthew Anderson4, torrentz, Henry Lee84...there’s more of them out there, honestly, but these are the main culprits. Lately, they've even managed to drag in a few more trolls just to clutter up the thread, and the absolute best example of that is darkmarlin16. Dabizas I honestly can't even remember when this guy first started posting about the Example topic, but lately, he’s been getting way too lazy with his trolling around here.

Honestly, you don't even need to dig deep; just flip through the last couple of pages and it’ll hit everyone like a ton of bricks—everything becomes crystal clear pretty damn fast.

Where even are the moderators? Did they all just collectively decide to go on vacation or something? They aren't answering any questions, and honestly, the trolls are just running wild like they own the place because nobody's doing anything about it. It's a complete joke.

Robert Torres said:I know, I know, I’m totally gonna look like a massive whiner if I say this, but honestly? It’s actually kind of interesting that they opened up a dedicated thread for the lower English leagues. It basically makes sense because people follow them so closely, and it’ll probably take some of the pressure off the "Other Leagues" topic. Look, I’ve got zero beef with it, though. Fine by me.
I mean, seriously, why is everyone making such a massive deal out of just opening one dedicated thread for all the VB16/VRM13 discussions? It’s not like it's rocket science. We could just have one spot where the younger crowd can go to geek out and argue without blowing up every other serious conversation on the board. Honestly, it would save us all a headache. ☕ Could she just shut her trap for once? Seriously, I really don't need to be reading all this nonsense.

I honestly don't even know where to start with this one because it's just such a mess, but let's get into it. The user says:
I mean, honestly, you just have to read this stuff to believe it—it’s actually wild that there are people out there who don't get a massive rush when Lionel Messi scores. Like, seriously, how do you even function? 🙄

I honestly don’t get it—why is it so vital to keep all this constant bickering stuck inside this specific thread? Why does everyone suggest a change for the eightieth time only for absolutely nothing to ever happen? Is it really that deep, like, does Kikica’s hair gel routine actually have some massive impact on pike's mental state or something? It’s ridiculous because there’s this one single thread where idiots aren't even punished; they’re practically being rewarded for it. Look, you guys can go at each other's throats for days if you want, but for the love of god, just move the normal posts to a separate thread so the rest of us can actually find anything useful. And please, spare me all that "you're in the minority" crap, because let's be real—we'd all be exactly the same if we just wiped out all the clones.

Jeffrey Edwards76 said:If anything at all actually matters here, I’m siding with Byron m. 😁 Just open the floodgates and let them cook, man, seriously—it’s not like they ever shut up anyway. Nobody is stopping anyone from actually writing like a civilized human being on Example, after all. Though, honestly, I have my doubts if these kids even know how to hold a decent conversation if they tried. ☕

Gary Torres60 said:Look, it’s not even about who’s typing or which teams get dragged through the mud, it’s the actual subject matter. Does it seriously not bore any of you to death that we’re restarting this same old nonsense every single week—like the endless debates over Lionel Messi's growth hormones, or whatever garbage involving France? I mean, props to you guys for having the energy to dig up the same old dirt over and over, but wouldn't it be killer if we just moved all that stuff to its own dedicated thread? Or maybe just implement some stricter rules, though that sounds pretty stupid and let's be real, there's zero chance that's actually going to happen.

Robert Torres said:What kind of witch hunt is this? We should be able to act like adults and just say what’s bothering us openly without all the whining, and then the person who has something to say can just respond properly.

It’s not like anyone is bothering me on this forum, and I wouldn't go around banning people just because I feel like it, let's be clear about that. It’s just that after four years—during which we seemingly decide to "fix" something every six months—I am just straight-up done with hearing the exact same crap on loop.
this has honestly gone way too far, and predictably, there isn't a single sign of life from the moderators anywhere to be found
Proposal to increase max image size limit in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Melissa Collins6 said:The rules allow images up to 640x480 pixels. I think it's high time we change that and allow at least 800x600.

The current image size limits were set way back in 2007. Monitors were smaller, computers were slower, and most people were still struggling with sluggish dial-up connections. From that perspective, limiting image sizes made sense—to prevent bandwidth congestion for those on slow connections or to keep things readable—but today? That rule is baseless. It needs to be updated.

I’m pretty sure I’m still rocking the same monitor and PC setup I had in 2007, and I bet I’m definitely not the only one out there.
Anthony Jackson2 and Alex Cook, where the hell have you guys disappeared to?

Is anyone actually going to do something about these mind-numbing, absolute snooze-fests they call matches on ESPN? It’s driving me insane.

Robert Torres, don't worry, you aren't flying solo on this one. 🙂

Honestly, it doesn't even matter. These stewards are so inconsistent it’s getting ridiculous...

Feels like it's high time they brought in some permanent stewards who actually know a damn thing about racing and let them do their jobs...
I'm thinking maybe a combo of Michael Schumacher and Mika Hakkinen... though I have zero clue who to hire as a third 🤷
Maybe someone from a different camp, like Robert Kubica...

But yeah, just actual experienced drivers who get how this works, instead of these hacks who clearly don't have a clue...

later in the race
