If you’re going to launch your own thing, you need two things: pure confidence and actual, honest-to-god time.
I have this friend who built a company from scratch right here in the States, and he did it during one of the absolute worst economic downturns imaginable. Now? He’s got about twenty people on his payroll and the business is actually doing pretty decent.
He made a name for himself.
Look, the guy isn't shady or anything, but what else is a man supposed to do? Pull two straight days without sleep?
Personally, I love working, I really do. But if "work" means staying awake for forty-eight hours straight just to keep some project moving, then that better be a JOB I actually LOVE.
You need talent, sure, but more importantly, you need a genuine passion for whatever niche you're diving into.
There's that old cliché—if you do what you love, you'll never work a single day in your life.
And honestly, it's true, because you start seeing it as a hobby or a passion rather than just grueling labor.
If someone came up to me today and said, "Hey, go sell eggs door-to-door for a month and you'll have a million dollars," I’d probably go for it.
But if someone tells me, "You have to sell eggs door-to-door for the rest of your entire career to guarantee you'll be rich," there is no way in hell I'm signing up for that.
Fuck eggs. I'm not trading my life for them.
