Basically, all you need is some willpower... everything else just falls into place 😉
Open a PayPal account, pick a sportsbook to mess around with (I’d suggest starting with DraftKings, BetMGM, or FanDuel), and start loading up those bucks 👍

If I remember right, you can definitely top up using a Mastercard... I’ve been sticking with my Intel card from Chase for a few years now, though you gotta make sure there’s actual foreign currency in the account first. Someone who actually uses a Mastercard will give you the real scoop.
Grab a PayPal MASTERCARD for sure. You can hit an ATM to pull cash, zero waiting around, and no paper trail. Plus, you can use it for shopping.
Just set up an account, hit the deposit button, pick Skrill, and you're redirected straight to your own Skrill account to pull whatever amount you want. The email thing is just if you're sending money to someone else via Skrill. I wouldn't touch Bah, honestly. It’s a joke—trash offers and terrible odds. Check out Expekt or Unibet instead. If you're doing singles, Pinnacle is the only way to go!
Mark Carter65 said:Anyone else betting on the DraftKings site over in Canada? Looking for some intel. Seems decent enough from what I've heard, but what's the actual word?
My experience with them has been nothing but good so far. 👍

Arthur Howard said:Don't. Or rather, depends on what you're betting. They aren't bad for soccer Asian Handicaps, but their smaller markets are a total joke.
I placed a few bets on some college basketball games (after they tweaked the odds and the margin) only for them to void every single one right before tip-off because they were supposedly "placed at the wrong margin."
The margin was the same the whole time—except they moved it from an opening -7.5 to a -23.5 the next day and decided my bet was based on the wrong numbers.
Thanks 👍
Basically, I need a bookie that gives a 100% first deposit match (up to at least $50)... looking at the current offers, it’d be great if they had more than just the standard soccer stuff, like spread betting or over/under for basketball (NBA) and hockey (NHL and pro leagues). I'm on a budget 😵
I blew through my bankroll for the week a while ago, so I'm not looking to rush into anything that might cause me headaches 🤔
Larry King2 said:Can someone walk me through verifying an account on DraftKings? I haven't used them in a while, logged in today, and got hit with some verification notice. Under the Know Your Customer section, there’s a step 1 and a step 2 USA. If I'm reading this right, I need a different document for each one. What if I only have my driver's license? Can I just upload a scan of my ID for both step 1 and step 2 USA, or am I totally misreading this? 🙂
Thanks.
It's not rocket science—I just finished mine earlier today. 😁> You gotta pick one item from each category. For the first group, I just uploaded my driver's license, and for the second, I just clicked the verification link they sent to my email.
The Greeks still have a shot at advancing, but they’re basically at the mercy of whatever happens in Turin. They need to do their job and grab three points, which pretty much guarantees them an Europa League spot regardless. This season, they’ve been absolute beasts at home—they shut out Juventus 1-0 and watched Atletico crumble 3-2. Meanwhile, Malmo has been a disaster on the road, getting hammered by Juve 0-2 and crushed 0-5 by Atletico. Sure, Malmo took 2-0 in the first matchup back in Sweden, but Olympiacos dominated that game with 68% possession and held their own in shots. These guys are a completely different animal at home. I expect them to vent all that frustration from their domestic league and just steamroll Malmo by at least two goals.
BATE - Porto 2 @ 1.57 (0-3) The quality gap here is embarrassing. BATE is basically playing the role of the underdog blowout victim this season—think how much the Dallas Cowboys struggle against elite teams lately. They got smoked by Shakhtar and Porto, and their win against Bask was against a bottom-tier squad. That legendary toughness they used to have? Gone. Their defense is full of holes, and honestly, the visitors could easily walk away with a blowout win. I’m just hoping Porto stays focused and clinches first place in the group.
Shakhtar - Athletic B. 1 @ 1.70 (0-1) Shakhtar is inches away from mathematically securing a spot in the next round. It'll likely come down to a head-to-head showdown with Porto in the final match to decide who takes top seed. Athletic is finally finding their rhythm in La Liga, which is their real priority right now. Even if they slip up against the Ukrainians today, they'll have a shot at fighting for a Europa League spot in that final game.
Man City - Bayern Over 2.5 @ 2.00 (2-2) A bit of a wild pick, but it's totally doable. Despite all the massive spending, the English clubs keep choking in Europe. Man City has no choice but to play aggressive and hunt for goals if they want any hope of advancing. Bayern showed in the first leg that they operate on a completely different level. If they stay serious, they'll breeze through this. I'm just hoping the English side gets a fighting chance before Bayern pulls a total blitzkrieg on them.
Schalke - Chelsea 2 @ 1.90 (0-5) Chelsea can lock in their progression with a win tonight, and I don't doubt for a second that the boss will have his squad ready to deliver. Schalke is as inconsistent as ever—they were decent in London, but I’m expecting a total collapse tonight. Looking for a routine Chelsea victory, maybe 2-0 or 2-1.
APOEL - Barcelona Under 3.5 @ 1.50, Under 2.5 @ 2.30 (0-4) Barca already punched their ticket, so expect Luis Enrique to rotate some starters and coast through this. The Cypriots are going to park a double-decker bus in front of the goal, making this a snooze fest. Unless Barca finds the net early, the unders are the way to go.
I hate these early kickoff times because if things go south, my whole Sunday plan is trashed, but I can't pass this one up. Not sure what else to say about Cagliari besides the fact that they've got Zdenek Zeman calling the shots this season—which basically means all attack and zero defense. They haven't kept a clean sheet once at home this year. Looking back at their last 10 games, 7 ended with both teams scoring, and 5 went over the 2.5 goal line. Genoa is playing the same way, high-scoring madness. They hit the over in 6 of their last 10, and on the road, it happened in 4 out of 5 matches. I'm taking the over 2.5 just for the value (it was sitting at 1.95 at the local sportsbook), but it wouldn't hurt to throw a little on over 3.5 goals @ 3.25 over at Bet365. Just hoping the players aren't half-asleep on the pitch today. 🕺
The league's top scorer has already bagged 15 goals this season (in just 12 games). Today his club, FC Rijeka, travels to face Slaven, a total mess right now. After getting bounced from the cup by some third-division underdog, they lost their coach, Scoria—not sure if he got fired or quit, but whatever🤔. Now they've got Josip Omrcen Ceko stepping in, an absolute rookie coach with zero track record. This should be a walk in the park for Rijeka, especially after the big boys over at Dinamo choked on a 2-3 result. Kramaric is the clear bet here. These odds are way too high ☕ .
Suarez is hungry. I'm expecting Barca to take care of business at home against a tricky Celta side. Suarez is definitely going to want to impress the home crowd and prove the front office made the right call bringing him in. He’ll have Messi and Neymar feeding him all day, and he knows exactly how to put them in the back of the net.
Eric Fox7 said:I’d honestly just go straight with a single unit here (just so we aren't staring at a 0-5 halftime score 🤣). The odds are mouth-watering—BetMGM and DraftKings have them at +350—because the visitors are playing like absolute psychos right now. No clue how they pulled off those two wins in the Conference League. G
Easy there... Dortmund is playing incredible football... they just can't finish. To prove my point, I looked up their shots on target this season:
Everton vs. Aston Villa: Everton ML @ 1.60; Everton Over 1.5 goals @ 1.65 (Predicting 3-0)
Everton is way better than their current standing suggests. Meanwhile, Aston Villa had a decent start but then totally fell apart, dropping three straight against Man City, Arsenal, and Chelsea while getting outscored 8-0. Everton has found the net in every single game, scoring two or more goals in four of their last six. They haven't picked up a home win yet this season, but that's about to change.
