Elizabeth Mendoza said:I’m just sitting here waiting, but I honestly don't see an end in sight. They've been pushing this absolute deluge of superhero movies at us for 13 years now. It's just endless. You get a hundred different versions of Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and the Avengers, and then they just cram every single franchise imaginable into one screen. Suddenly you've got the Guardians of the Galaxy, Spider-Man, Batman, Superman, and Iron Man all sprinting past you, and to top it off, you've still got Wolverine, Magneto, and dozens of X-Men characters thrown in there too. Not to mention the constant stream of reboots and prequels.

🤮

It feels like someone is basically forcing you to watch them. I guess? Maybe just my take! 😁

You can find top-tier movies as far as the eye can see. I mean, sure, if you decide to limit yourself only to new releases—which, honestly, I don't get why anyone would bother doing that—then your options shrink a bit, but even then, there’s still a massive amount to choose from!

I personally love watching Marvel movies. I mean, they aren't exactly cinematic masterpieces or anything—they definitely lack that high-brow quality—but the entertainment value is just so good! It’s honestly such a blast to watch, especially if you’ve been sitting through heavy arthouse films lately. You kind of need that total shift in spectrum, you know? I guess it just hits different. As for Star Wars, I never really get into it. It just never clicked for me. I mean, sure, I might sit down and binge the whole thing in one go eventually, but today is just not that kind of day! 🤷

Oh, and if you’re ever in the mood to catch some top-tier movies on the big screen, you can actually find a ton of great stuff at the local independent theater near the suburbs every single week—including all the new releases! 😁

If you're looking for bad space movies like Gravity, honestly, if you missed Ad Astra, just let it go.

It might be the worst movie of 2019, maybe even on its own, but man, especially considering all that hype 🙏

Even Zvonimir Maycug wouldn't be caught dead with a script this bad—it was just a total disaster 🙏

Wait, was I the only kid who thought "Scream of the Falcon" was some kind of formal greeting or something?

No? 😢

Adam King6 said:Ken even mentioned he started wearing a mask for himself, not for some hairdresser.

And what the hell is an SJW anyway? 🤷

When I read "wearing a mask for the first time," I totally took it to mean the barber told him he had to wear one 🤔

If that’s really what happened, then honestly, let's just laugh about it! 🤣

Well, I'm totally a bronze-sexual myself! Maybe you should just join in, then you'll be all set.

Elizabeth Mendoza said:Are you one of those ultra-sensitive social justice warriors who thinks everything is an insult? Is nobody allowed to joke around anymore?

Feeling offended now, buddy?

Honestly, I think SJWs are just a rare breed of idiots, so I’m almost personally insulted by that comparison.🤣 🤣

I mean, taking things out of context would be fine, I guess, but since this comes from someone who spends all their time complaining about how crazy the lockdown rules were, it feels kind of silly to mock people who are just following common sense—you know, just trying to follow basic guidelines so they can actually get back to work.🤷

Besides, they’re literally doing it for the client they're milking, not for themselves. Or at least they should be, if they actually get why they're doing it.😁

Paul Sanders5 said:At the barbershop, rocking the mask for the first time :Papi:

What a joke 🤣 I’m seriously just gonna move to a deserted island if they start forcing us to wear these things like they do over in Asia 🙏

So, I guess we could totally laugh at people who act all careful and cautious after being stuck in close quarters with everyone else all day? Maybe? I mean, honestly, it’s kind of funny! It's like, they spend eight hours in a crowded office or a packed subway car, and then suddenly they're acting like they need a hazmat suit. I don't know! It seems a little much sometimes, right? But hey, maybe I'm just overthinking it! Haha! 🙏

Way to go! Awesome job! 🙏

urbanhawk17 said:Honestly, I think Nick Anderson’s biggest choke happened during those 1995 NBA Finals.

🙏

Man, that wasn't just a regular choke; it was like, totally transcendental. Like, he didn't just mess up in that one moment, he basically wrecked his entire career. 🙏

The guy's free throw percentage just absolutely cratered overnight. It was brutal, I guess. 🤣

Michael Flores8 said:Since I haven't been following ski jumping closely lately, this is actually my first time hearing about Tepeš. I wonder, is he the son of Miran Tepeš? 😁

Yeah, Jurij. It was actually kind of a wild moment because it was the last jump of the season. He finished ahead of Prevca with perfect points, but then Prevca ended up taking the title over him because he won the tiebreaker against Freund—you know, based on the number of wins since they were tied in points. 🙏

Matthew Young35 said:I honestly feel for Karl Malone. It’s a shame he never managed to clinch a championship; the guy felt more like a supporting player for Stockton than a true superstar.

I don't know, maybe it's just me, but he’s one of those guys where, no matter how hard you try to focus on his game, you just can't ignore what he did off the court. It’s honestly pretty gross.

Michael Flores8 said:I honestly think Funaki has by far the most beautiful jumping style. I can't quite put my finger on it right now, but was he perhaps the first jumper to score straight 20s across the board?

Well, I think Innauer was the first one back in the seventies, and then Funaki grabbed it a few times after that—actually, I'm pretty sure he might be the only guy to do it more than once. As for the most recent ones, I believe it was Prevc and Tepeš, and they did it just a couple of days apart.🙏

brightpilot6 said:There’s just something about those wide, flared skis that feels like the absolute gold standard of style. It’s no wonder people say watching certain athletes struggle through their runs can be enough to drive you up the wall. Between the four different ski jumping events and then diving straight into the biathlon, there was plenty to keep an eye on.

As far as ski jumpers go, my personal favorite had to be Espen Bredesen; he really started hitting his stride just as I was getting into the sport, though he seemed to fade from the spotlight almost as quickly as he rose to prominence.🤣

It’s just such a weirdly volatile sport, you know? Even at the very top level. Like, maybe four years ago, it felt like that one star athlete was this totally unstoppable machine, then just a year later, they were barely clinging to the top 10, and after that, they just fell off a cliff. It seems to happen all the time, I guess. And look at someone like Schlierenzauer—if you look at certain stats, he might be the GOAT of the World Cup circuit, but he’s only just hit 30, and it feels like he hasn't really found his rhythm in seven or eight years now. 🙏

brightpilot6 said:American? I’d bet anything that some folks living right here in the States actually believe Tony grew up behind the Iron Curtain, dreaming of the West while scraping the bottom of a single yogurt cup his mother managed to snag from a local corner store.

As if he didn't grow up in a land of abundance, freedom, and opportunity, much like the struggles faced by Black communities in inner cities.☕

🤣

Man, I had such a good laugh watching those scenes from *Do The Right Thing*—you know, the ones they were talking about regarding the sneakers? It’s actually a pretty heavy movie to sit through, though. Seeing that whole "life in the inner city" vibe played out like that... it's intense. I guess it really shows how things work in practice. Maybe a bit much for some, but man, what a ride! 😁

Elizabeth Mendoza said:He actually mentioned in that documentary that for his first few seasons, he was making less in the NBA than he was back in Europe. Honestly, I doubt any of his teammates could even point to America on a map right now. 🤣

It’s that classic American mindset. To them, every country in Eastern Europe is just Russia. 🤣

So, he did say he would've made less money if he had just jumped straight over after being drafted back in 1990, and we're talking literal millions here. I guess I'm not totally sure if he really earned less when he actually made the move, though. Especially since everyone talks about those intense negotiations between him and Krause, plus you have to remember MJ wasn't there anymore to hog up all that salary cap space. Maybe that changed things? Just my two cents!

bluebison10 said:Actually, wasn't he pulling in several million a season at Benetton? From a pure math standpoint, moving to the NBA barely made sense...

No, that’s not really what they were getting at. They were saying people underestimated him because he didn't seem like a "tough guy," totally ignoring the environment he actually came up in. I remember hearing people use terms like "poverty" and "oppression" as excuses. It feels kind of wild to say that when you compare his background to how most NBA players grew up in the States 😁

urbanhawk17 said:I don't know, ski jumping just doesn't hit the same anymore. I can't quite put my finger on why. I still have memories of watching guys like Janne Ahonen, but I honestly can't name any of the current jumpers.

I used to be glued to the screen during the Four Hills Tournament, but these days, I find myself switching over to 🤷

Maybe I'm just getting old, or maybe there’s just too much junk on TV. I guess it's hard to tell.

They just lack that certain charisma, I suppose. ☕

bluebison47 said:And then there’s the whole thing with Salazar... I mean, he'd probably argue he was easily one of the top three dictators of his era, I guess. 🙏🙏

🤣 🤣

Then there’s Mugabe, where they're all like, "well, he was the GOAT when it comes to staying in power." 🙏

Anyway, we can't let this slide without a little shoutout—congrats to Byron on the rotation! I guess even sesve would be embarrassed by this.
