I feel like my generation and I were almost completely bypassed when it comes to comics. It’s especially true for those "Classics" that previous generations seemed to be totally obsessed with back during the old days. I guess we just missed out, maybe?

Alright, so that whole thing above was just a joke. I mean, I know what Dylan Dog looks like, but honestly, it was only because of some outside pressure—you know, those trivia games—and not because I’ve actually read it. So, in the context of this comment, I don't really care. 😁

I gave a few of those things a shot—not Dylan Dog specifically, though that one definitely holds massive status globally—but honestly, after trying something like Alan Ford, my only takeaway is that its cult following mostly comes from the fact that it was one of the only options available back then. It’s kind of sad, really, whenever I see people trying to compare it to something like Watchmen. 🤷

Of course, I totally get why that take is causing such a massive stir over on Reddit, so honestly, it’s probably better if the trolls don't even bother starting. 🤣

Honestly, comics just aren't really my thing at all. I guess they're just totally unappealing as a way to pass the time. If I had to rank every form of art out there based on what I actually like, comics would definitely be sitting right at the very bottom of the list, man. 😢

They barely made a dent in Europe—that's not even an exaggeration. In major cities, you might find maybe five locations, and they kept their prices just as high in Berlin as they did in Washington, D.C., so they're headed for another collapse...

I never doubted for a second that Sportivo - Burggeliere belongs to that category of "elite burgers," where they grill a patty right in front of you 🤣, but let's be real: it's just that pre-ground meat from Walmart that everyone uses for cheap patties—basically scraps of scraps. They pretend to make them themselves because it's cheaper to shape a patty and slap a "handmade" label on it than to actually buy quality meat; they get the ground beef for $6.75/lb, turn it into a patty for $10/lb, and then serve it to you like it's some Subway sandwich meant to be eaten on the run $13. To actually get full at YS, you have to drop $23 on a single damn Burger
.
I eat at Kremenko, MekPers, and places like that myself, but purely just for the variety...

And then you have people talking about marketing geniuses. They can tell the difference between a $20 burger and a $13, but the only thing they really feel is the hit to their wallet 🤣
Sportivo - Burggeliere 🤣

Look, there’s a massive difference in meat quality when you compare a McDonald's or Burger King burger to something from Subway or Brewbites (which hasn't been mentioned yet, but I think they're awesome!)—it's honestly night and day. 🤷

I’m not saying whether it's "worth it" or not, because I guess that’s not really what we're debating here, and I basically agree with GQ that everything is fine and you get what you pay for, but man, the difference is definitely there.

And if you’re getting "bite-sized" portions at Subway, then I really don't know where else you're supposed to go to get full, because their burgers—especially the double versions—are like twice the size of what you get at McDonald's (which usually serves those tiny little things, unless it's a special deal like the Big Tasty).

Honestly, after a liter of pure ethanol, Karamarko might finally be the solution we're looking for.

Some pretty interesting political reshuffling going on here ☕

Noah Roberts46 said:Do you even realize that people go to stores to buy basic necessities? The whole point of these measures is risk mitigation; you only expose yourself to risk when it's absolutely necessary. Is buying food necessary? Yes. Is going to church necessary? No. That comparison is so incredibly stupid I can't believe you've already posted it several times.

First mistake right there.

Back in the nineties, we were baptizing adults en masse; we practically needed a tanker truck to handle all that water.

Matthew Young35 said:If this one priest is truly the issue, then why hasn't the Church taken any decisive action against him?

Why not just transfer him to a different parish?

Look, he didn't actually assault anyone, so...🤷

Calling it "invading people's privacy" as a critique for a documentary about going to church—where you're just filming people caught in their own moments of pure idiocy—is honestly one of the best takedowns I've seen 🙏 🙏

It's a good thing that criticism didn't target that Easter Mass at the zebra print shop 🙏

What actually caught my attention was the unique way this was written.

The way they used "it'd"... honestly, it's pure poetry. 🙏

Matthew Young35 said:Comment under an article regarding a priest holding Mass and the subsequent assault on a journalist who was filming the service:

"So, the journalist was 'provoking' him by filming illegally? She deserves punishment, they say... Meanwhile, Congress meets with two-meter distancing, grocery stores enforce two-meter distancing, and so on. Why shouldn't the Church be allowed the same courtesy? Bravo, America! Seriously, why doesn't this journalist take her grievances to the very state institutions that are causing these problems in the first place? Look at the nursing homes—people die there because of pure government negligence. Or social workers who basically do nothing. Even the water gets shut off without residents being notified. It’s all connected. LP"

🤣 🤣 🤦

It’s that whole "she wore a short skirt, so it's her own fault" kind of logic 🙏

this whole thing actually real? 🙏
It’s just pure madness.
I keep thinking it can't possibly get any weirder, but then every episode just gets more unhinged. 🙏

Just you wait, they keep cranking up the intensity until the very end. 🤣

I started watching Money Heist. I'm 5 episodes in, and it’s not bad, but I don't know if all the hype is totally justified. It feels a bit like a weaker version of the first season of Prison Break, maybe? 🤷

So, that video ended up with a like-to-dislike ratio of roughly 50:1. 🤣

Just a snapshot of the nation, Luka Bulić, and a bit of that crazy, beautiful humor—honestly, I don't think we need anything else. 🙏

It’s honestly hard to put into words. You have these rednecks out in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by hundreds of tigers and lions, all fighting for dominance while a true crime story unfolds right in the center of it all.

If this weren't a documentary, I would have assumed the script was written by someone on some pretty heavy drugs. 🙏

I watched the whole thing, and man, it was top-tier. What's even crazier is how you just can't stop watching once you start. 🙏

Yeah, I guess the option where the whole healthcare system just completely collapses because we let the virus spread uncontrollably and instantly is way more appealing. 🤷

It’s definitely not sustainable in the long run, but maybe it helps cushion the blow for the most vulnerable people until the hospitals can actually handle the load—which is kind of the whole point, right? I don't really see any other way to avoid ending up like Italy.

And they had that exact same mindset (and for some reason, a huge chunk of them still do) back in early March, so we all saw exactly where that led them.

In my experience, most people who dig this kind of music—and other subgenres of metal, if we're being specific—aren't actually miserable. If anything, they’re usually some of the funniest, most chill people you'll meet.

Hey steelharbor9, if you ever run into Ode, he can back me up. We have a mutual friend who is a total grouch, a real piece of work, but seriously, no shade intended😁—most people aren't even like that.

Maybe it's because they listen to a mix of everything. Or maybe those heavy emotions really do dominate when you're a teen, but who knows? Back then, I wasn't hanging out with the crowd that listened to this, or maybe we just didn't own up to it.😁

Oh, I'll be around, Sebastian. Generally speaking, once you hit about 16 years old, trying to link music taste to someone's personality is a total miss.🤷 During those high school years, sure, it might be somewhat on point.

For me, I still find myself blasting a power metal album every couple of months, even though stylistically it's mostly garbage. I just feel like it sometimes! And before or after that, I'll go straight to Aretha Franklin or maybe some classic rock, I have no clue🤷
