Quick question about running temporary passenger transport (taxi service) within the European Union.
Basically, you’re on the hook for VAT in every single country where you pick up passengers, even if you’re just passing through.
We’ve got buddies in Canada, so we sorted that part out pretty fast. But what about the rest of them?
Anyone got advice or some experience with this?
Hey, looking for some advice on saving.
Got a one-year-old and want to start a nest egg for them.
Should I go with life insurance (I know you guys aren't big fans, though I’ve got one myself—just gotta wait another 16 years to see if it actually paid off 😂), a standard savings account, or maybe some stocks or mutual funds? If I do funds, I wouldn't DIY it; I'd probably just let a bank like Vanguard or Fidelity handle the heavy lifting and take a cut of the returns..
Basically, I don't want to gamble by buying individual stocks myself. Not trying to build a massive fortune here, just want the kid to have something decent to work with when they hit 20. 🙂
Hey... just saw an article online saying we might be able to take out loans abroad starting January 1st. I’m actually looking into doing some major home renovations right now, so I wanted to get your take. Is this a smart move? Are their contracts better structured—like, can they just hike interest rates on a whim? Do they have better consumer protection laws? And which country is leading the pack here...
just drop whatever you know...
Is this better? She won't read anything larger than this... but if you guys don't get it, no big deal. Thanks for the interest anyway. 😉

I'll try again, but I can't get a good angle. Plus, if the file is too big, it won't even upload. That's why it's small.

If your IBM shows left axis deviation, then your blood pressure isn't just high during doctor visits. If your BP is actually normal, you need to see a cardiologist to figure out why there's a left axis deviation... that's a sign of left ventricular strain.

The only thing that comes to mind is junctional rhythm. Did they mention anything about a junctional rhythm? Why don't you just write down the actual diagnosis from the report?
Yeah, he did mention junctional rhythm... the report was handwritten so it's total gibberish... here's a photo of the IBM printout if that helps..

driftingmarlin52, why aren't you doing that above? And what kind of "special rhythm" are we even talking about?? You should just type out the actual report or at least the diagnosis...
fine.. if I can even make sense of this ☕ basically he drew my heart out and told me the impulse goes from the center down, while everyone else's goes from the top down (not sure if that's why I can't feel my heartbeat through my chest, maybe I have to put my hand on my stomach to actually feel the pulse??)... said it’s nothing dangerous, just a different way of sleeping, and not an arrhythmia since my resting heart rate is around 70.🤷🤷
Sam Hall15 said:Why's that? I've seen atrial fibrillation in young people plenty of times... WPW is much rarer than fibrillation and less likely to be the culprit here...
The doctor claims I have a specific heart rhythm that's totally normal for me. Says the pounding I feel is just because I'm hyper-aware of my body—apparently, I'm just extra sensitive to those sensations (though he didn't really explain why that sensitivity was waking me up at night since my chest wasn't actually hurting). Then he says most people's electrical impulses go from top to bottom, but mine goes from the middle down (as if my heart is just taking an annual vacation or something).
Is this even a legit diagnosis???
Why is it that whenever I hit the health section, it says I’m logged out? It asks me to sign in, everything seems fine, it gives me a quick welcome message, and then—boom—it kicks me right back to the login screen. Now, if I just log in from there, it works fine and I can post my question without any issues... 😠😠

Thyroid's acting up 🤷 hitting up the cardiologist today

I'll let you guys know what my thyroid labs look like. Had blood drawn yesterday, so results should be in in a few days. My mom had thyroid issues too—had surgery, but she's totally fine now. Doesn't take any meds.

Don't be mad, 😁
I've been dealing with this chest pain for a while now—it’s never in the same spot, it kind of "wanders" around (reaching from under my armpit all the way to the middle of my sternum). It usually feels like a sharp sting or sometimes a burning sensation. The pain lasts about 10 seconds. I also get bouts of tachycardia. I had an IBM done when my heart rate hit around 150. The results didn't show any other abnormalities; there were no arrhythmias noted on the report, just a steady rhythm.
The pain doesn't happen during physical activity; it only hits when I'm resting—mostly when I'm sitting up or reclined. It isn't constant. Lately, though, I've been feeling my heart race quite often while resting, even though when I check it with a blood pressure monitor, it never goes above 90 bpm, which isn't too crazy...
My thyroid hormone levels came back normal, and my thyroid ultrasound was fine too.
So, what else could this be?
Thanks in advance 😁
Why don't you just try checking your own pulse? Skip the blood pressure monitor. I get that feeling too sometimes—like my heart is racing like crazy—only to check it and find out I'm sitting right at a steady 70.
It used to be much worse. Now it’s dialed back, but I can still feel those palpitations. Went to see my GP and she ran an IBM; said there's a constant arrhythmia present. It's not just some random spasm or a temporary flutter—my heart is just beating irregularly, all the time. She sent me for blood work and thyroid tests, so now I'm just waiting on the results.
Hey... quick question, need a short answer if possible..
Here's the deal: whenever I'm heading to bed or just lying down, I can feel my heart pounding. At one point, it was actually waking me up because the chest pain was so intense. It’s better now, but I still feel it, especially when I lie on my stomach. It feels like I just finished a heavy workout at the gym—like my pulse spiked and my heart is racing, even though the actual rhythm feels normal...
Should I be worried, or is this just stress? I'm 22.
