Yeah, this forum is moving at a snail's pace. Even by my own standards, it's incredibly slow.🙏

At first glance, it seems staged, but once you factor in everything else—the cursing, the sudden de-escalation, and Smith’s actual speech—it feels genuine. If this was real, Chris Rock handled himself like a total class act 🙏

I just wish I could understand how people like Carol Lewis are so absolutely certain that it was all fake 🤣

What’s your take on property taxes? To me, it looks like a solid remedy for fighting up inflated prices. It's far too easy nowadays to sit on overpriced land or a vacation home just for the sake of it when it doesn't cost you a dime to hold onto it.

Some guy from Dogme was explaining the other day that prices went up about 20% because of material costs, though honestly, it feels more like they jumped by 50%. I mean, whatever he says, but I guess it's true that new builds have spiked. Even if you account for materials, fuel, and everything else going up, I don't get how they justify it. And real estate agents are part of the problem too, egging on homeowners. Like, how can you take an old place that was worth $50k recently and suddenly appraise it at $80k or $90k? It’s a hundred years old and hasn't been renovated in fifty! What's the actual argument for hiking the price other than "everything else is expensive, so why not?" 🤷 😁

All in all, it's just a bad time for settling down or making big moves. I really hope things stabilize eventually, especially real estate and these overpriced dumps, so we can just take it easy. For now, I guess I'll just keep working and do what I can, when I can. 😁

Other than that? That is simply a fundamental principle of a market economy. ☕

How does this all actually play out? Are prices finally going to drop once this famous inflation dies down, when the restrictions are lifted, trade routes reopen, and Putin is dealt with? We all end up paying the price through inflation, and maybe even the average American will feel it too, since none of this was ever meant for them...

It’s funny how people only seem to care about drawing lines against dictators when it happens in Ukraine... nobody was making those same calls back in Chechnya when cities were being leveled, or in Iraq where so many civilians died without anyone calling out war crimes. Even with what our allies have done in Saudi Arabia and Yemen, there’s just this weird silence instead of people actually demanding justice or standing up to the madmen...

At the end of the day, it all boils down to the same thing. None of the three major powers—whether it's the US, Russia, or China—are actually good. Every single one of them is pretty gross in its own way, just to varying degrees depending on whether their interests happen to align with yours or not...
