Can money actually buy happiness? in Psychology ·
Look, money is a necessary evil—period. You can’t live without it, even if it obviously can’t buy the stuff that actually matters, like real love, true friendship, loyalty, or that bond you have with your kids... but let's be real, having cash makes life a hell of a lot easier when you're trying to cover the basics. I’m probably the most romantic person you’ll ever meet—I live for long walks, watching the sunset, a solid hug from a friend, some kind words, a smile, or just seeing my kids happy... but you still need funds to survive this harsh reality. When you're broke, it wrecks both your mind and your body—trust me, I've been there. It's a vicious cycle where you're working a minimum wage job just to keep the lights and water on, and then you're stuck choosing between buying school books and sneakers for your kid or paying the rent. Sometimes you don't even have enough left over to buy yourself a pair of socks. It's a nightmare. And even with all the money in the world, there are things you just can't buy back: lost time, my late father, my parents, friends scattered across the country, or my own health.

I’m signing that right now. Don't trust a hungry man—and honestly, I feel like I hear that "money isn't everything" line most often from people who are absolutely drowning in cash...

Look, I’m all for the whole "money can't buy you happiness, love, or health" mantra, but let's get real—you can't survive without it either. When you're dealing with a medical crisis or trying to pay for treatment, cash isn't just nice, it's mandatory. I spent a huge chunk of my life scraping by, and trust me, I know what it's like to be stuck in an apartment with no power, trying to put kids to bed in the dark... or going to sleep hungry because there was nothing in the pantry. It’s that gut-wrenching feeling where you have to choose between eating yourself or buying a loaf of bread for your kid. Those moments? They toughened me up, mentally and morally, for sure—but don't kid yourself, having money would have made life a hell of a lot easier. Now, whether that money could actually take away the pain of everything we went through or somehow buy back our happiness? That’s a conversation that could go on forever. lp

Can I change my nickname to Samoj? Someone else already has that one on Facebook and I want to switch because this one gives away way too much

Sure thing, just reach out to New Orleans.
Alright, I’ll bite—does anyone out there actually have one of those old-school charcoal irons? You know, the kind our grandparents used to swear by? I’ve been hunting for one forever. Also, looking for any working cell phone that can run on the Verizon network—needs to come with a charger, too. Shoot me a DM... please, this is urgent.
Anyone have spare ink for an HP Deskjet 3550? in Computer Peripherals ·
Can anyone out there hook me up with some extra ink for an HP DeskJet 3550? Or honestly, if someone's just got an old printer lying around with the right ink to go with it, I'd be super grateful! Please, help a person out
Light Therapy Device reviews? in Health ·
I’d love to hear if any of you actually get anything out of that Philips Light Therapy Device. I’ve had mine sitting around the house for years—back when I actually had money to burn, clearly—but I think I’ve used it maybe twice? Total waste of space at this point. Did it actually do anything for you guys? What was the payoff? Honestly, I’m just dying to get rid of it. I want to sell it or just trade it in for some actual useful household stuff, because let’s be real: I am never going to use it. It even comes with the stand
Best medical beds for home care? in Health ·
Alright, so here's the deal—a friend of mine who’s currently looking after two elderly ladies who are pretty much bedridden (one can barely move at all) asked if I could do a little digging online. She's hunting for a medical bed for someone in that situation—you know, complete setup with the mattress, turning capabilities, the whole nine yards. Ideally, she's looking for something someone doesn't need anymore or just wants to offload for a super cheap price. I wasn't sure if this fits perfectly under this topic, so feel free to move this to another thread if I'm out of line. Anyway, both my friend and I are based in Phoenix, so it would be awesome if someone local could reach out!

I mean, it’s not even that similar. Got any ideas that actually include the name Sandy? That might fly better.

What about Just Sandy, Just Sandy, or Sandy Girl?

Just Sandy works—just hit up Nick.🙂
