You could always give macrobiotics a shot, too.
What on earth are they calling it now, CAM? 😲
In both sequels two and three, characters pop in and out of the frame without any discernible purpose or clear narrative function, even though—as demonstrated by that kid from Zion—it’s obvious they possess some sort of supposed backstory. I honestly think the fundamental issue with these installments is that they demand you've already watched the previous films just to make sense of what's happening on screen; trying to weave in characters and plot points from something like the Animatrix is simply overkill at this stage.

(The Lord of the Rings trilogy and the Star Wars saga suffer from pretty much the same structural flaws)

There was a time when film franchises were crafted so that each installment could stand entirely on its own merits, which actually made logical sense.
Richard Hernandez13 said:It's the kid who managed to disconnect from the Matrix because of his faith in the One (referring to that "Kid's Story" segment from the Animatrix).

That’s exactly my point; why on earth would a viewer watching The Matrix Revolutions be expected to know all that? You have these obscure characters just drifting in and out of the narrative, which, if I recall correctly, flies in the face of basically every established rule of filmmaking.

Which essentially makes them a prophet.

😁 I am the Oracle, and when I speak, I expect total silence.

And honestly, what kind of name is even "Oracle"? 😕
rapidstag74 said:That kid is definitely gay. It’s pretty much a consensus among every Matrix fan out there in the States.

Sure, maybe he is, but the real question is who even is he?
I honestly thought the Oracle had undergone some kind of fundamental shift for a reason, but then that actress passed away in the scene 😢What a total sham

But have you guys caught this detail:

The park bench that the Oracle sits on at the end of the movie has a plaque that reads: "In memory of Thomas Anderson".

There’s clearly some deeper subtext buried within The Matrix—it’s just one that continues to elude me.

"You are back you filthy cuntsukka! Prepare to be kung-fued!" -- Neo Cypher

Cypher made his return in the sequel 😲 and I definitely slept through that bit. 😢

Also, who is that little kid in Zion who keeps saying "Neo. I believe"? I honestly thought it was Mouse from the first movie—I had completely forgotten he was killed off.
rapidstag74 said:Maybe this little exchange will provide the clarity you're looking for...
Persephone: "Neo, I am your mother."
Neo: "Whoa, dude."

To be fair, I slept through a significant portion of the movie, but I am fairly certain Neo never actually said "dude." 🙄
Justin Patel said:Morpheus is being played, and he wasn't nearly that naive when it came to his faith in Neo..

What exactly is your angle here? Are you suggesting that Neo wasn't actually THE ONE?😲 😕
Personally, I found it incredibly disappointing that Neo doesn't actually defeat the machines at the end, opting instead to strike some sort of deal with them. In the first film, Morpheus makes it crystal clear that their entire struggle is centered on destroying the Matrix once and for all.

(The only logical explanation I can see for this shift is that both humanity, Neo himself, and the entire resistance movement are still being puppeted by the Matrix.)

Beyond that, why exactly does Neo’s victory over Smith serve as the necessary condition for the war between humans and machines to cease? 😕

And another thing—how is it that Neo is no longer clearly superior to Smith in the sequels, considering he was practically handling him with one hand at the end of the first installment? 😕
I honestly find it pretty terrible. After getting back from China this past Saturday, I borrowed a DVD copy of the first Matrix and gave it another watch, and I have to say, it still holds up beautifully, but the sequels... 👎

I will admit, though, that I actually slept through about half of the second one.

I don't think it’s particularly right to be airing these kinds of things about people in a public forum.

As for me, I wash my hair every single day, though I rarely bother with blow-drying it.

I'm currently over at Dr. Miller's office on College Avenue dealing with some social services stuff. He hasn't actually performed an examination on me yet, but he strikes me as a genuinely decent guy, the kind of person you can actually approach with just about anything without feeling judged.

How much does an exam cost with her?

An exam including ultrasound and a Pap smear is 450 (or maybe 400?) bucks.

Kyle Nguyen16, you really shouldn't go on so much about Dr. Harni; there’s always an absurdly long line there anyway. 😁 😉
Flu symptoms in Health ·
Honestly, I’ve noticed a significant shift in how my body handles these annoying colds and flus; ever since I cut out meat, and especially since I stopped eating dairy, my immunity has been noticeably stronger.

Since I was a kid, I was always incredibly prone to catching colds—it felt like I had a constant runny nose, perpetually irritated red skin around my nostrils, and pockets stuffed full of paper tissues.

In the last few years, knock on wood, I haven't caught a single cold. Last year, every single one of my coworkers—people I grab coffee with every day—came down with some nasty virus or flu, yet I stayed perfectly fine. Even just now, while my husband is struggling through one of those tedious colds, I haven't felt a thing.

From what I’ve gathered reading various vegetarian, vegan, and macrobiotic sources, the concept of "mucus" production during a cold is often linked directly to dairy consumption, and plenty of people following a vegan lifestyle report experiences similar to mine.

Now, whether there's a definitive scientific truth to that, or if I'm simply going through a lucky streak where my immune system is peaking, I can't say for certain.
